Excellent Bath Tap Replacement
Bought this to replace two old individual taps on the bath and add a thermostatically controlled simple shower outlet whilst at it. It fitted directly onto existing copper pipework so didn't need to modify anything. Fitting - and particularly alignment on 180mm centres - was made easier by being able to fit the stems first and then attach them to the main mixer unit after.Speaking of the stems, it doesn't quite look like the picture as the one that arrived had much longer ones (so the tap stands taller on the bath). No matter... once in and tightened up, it was nicely aligned, leak-free and held chosen (combi boiler) water temperatures steadily. Flow rate was good too.Downsides? The tap unit itself is (I assume) solid chrome plated brass... however the 'flow' and 'temperature controls' on the unit are chromed plastic and don't feel anywhere near as durable. They currently work perfectly and feel nice to use... but only time will tell as to how long they'll stay that way. Also not that confident on getting spares should they be required (instructions suggested these were sourced from China).Other than that - and for the price - hard not to recommend them.

Great for the price
Great for the price. Works well with our combi-boiler system and regulates water temperature perfectly. Responds in realtime to taps being used of loos flushed elsewhere in the house so you never get scalded or doused in cold water when showering. Also makes running baths at just the right temperature a breeze.Compared to the plain mixer tap we had before this tap does slow the flow of water somewhat, so showers are not quite so powerful and the bath takes longer to fill. Still perfectly adequate though and worth it for the benefit of consistent temperature. The input to our combi is regulated to 2.0 bar with a pressure reducing valve. I don't think this tap would work with much less - I may even turn it up a fraction some time.

Cheap but not nasty
To be honest when I first opened it, I was disappointed as it was very light, obviously made of plastic with a chrome effect finish. So I bought a proper (heavy) brass mixer valve at more than twice the price. I then realised I'd have to alter the pipe work to fit the brass one, so I stuck with this one which fitted like a glove. Well like a mixer tap really. Now it's in place it looks pretty stylish, certainly not cheap and nasty, works absolutely fine. It's been fitted for a couple of months now, it probably won't last 20 years but at 30 odd quid it's pretty good. Four stars for value for money and good looks.

Good mixer and service at a good price.
Item arrived very quickly. Fit perfectly on to our existing tap pipework. Tap works and controls the temperature well even when the pressure drops. As a plus point its made it very easy to run a bath for our baby as the temperature control is so good. Shower is brilliant delivering a good flow from our mains pressure. Looks nice in chrome. Only had it installed a few weeks so can't comment on longevity but had no problems so far.

fancy going to the trouble of making a perfectly good shower valve and then wrecking the customer experience needlessly ...
My hot and cold in new apartment manual shower wouldn't mix due to difference in flow and pressure - it went from scolding to ice cold the moment the cold came on. cold tap is mains pressure. I got one of these valves to try sort the problem and at least be safe from scolding. I would of given five stars but the washers provided leaked and so I had to leave the water off all night til next day. I am an ex plumber and have very rarely come across such absurdly rubbish washers. fancy going to the trouble of making a perfectly good shower valve and then wrecking the customer experience needlessly by supplying dodgy cheap rubber washers that feel plasticky and fail regularly. spent £1 next day on proper washers easily available at any plumbing shop and shower has no leaked since. I also had to install a pressure reducing valve on the cold pipe under the bath to allow me to reduce it down to 1 bar - amazon even sell these for about 19 quid. been great since. so far so good - time will tell - but happy now - make sure you get a hose and shower head too as not included. get large bore hose 12mm for best result

Very good price and works well.
Make sure your pipes are plumbed in correctly with hot to the left and cold to the right as you look at the tap from in the bath.Mine were wrong and I wondered why it did not work! It cost more to have them swapped over that the tap cost.Glad I have it for it's ease of operation and simplicity of temperature setting. I have noticed a slight drop in pressure throughput but at least my wife cannot now scald/freeze me by using taps elsewhere in the house while I shower.

No-Brainer
Great tap - the left knob adjusts flow rate and the right adjusts temperature. The temperature is very consistent and the result is as good if not better than what you'd get on a power shower. But without the electrics and I'm pretty sure this would be the cheaper option on energy too.So yeah, when looking for a new bath tap I stumbled across this and considering it was no more expensive than a regular tap, it seemed a logical choice. Very happy with the product, it even looks pretty good.
