Safety first & Conversion to Pressure Pot
I converted this into a pressure pot. I almost didn't after reading the reviews - however as a professional nothing works just "as is" out of a box as previous people were saying - yeah it would leak straight out of the box... You need to inspect all parts and reinforce them with plumbing tape for no leaks - especially when working with enough pressure (60psi) to blow a hole in a wall (should something go wrong) you should check everything anyway!WITH THAT SAID - This is a great product and it does great for resin casting. With the proper replacements it exactly what I need for an affordable price! It doesn't matter that the top dents in - that doesn't take away from it's capabilities.. and I kind of like it. It's mine over time now - I see all the pulls I've done. Woo hoo!

Replace the regulator to use for casting.
Decent, not great out of the box. Works well with all new components. To echo what a lot of others have said, cut the pipe for the material feed inside down as short as you can, and it works good for resin casting. It’s worth noting that you have to cap the material out fitting as well, to use it for resin casting and that fitting is 1/2” compression, not 1/4” NPT.Capped the regulated out, with the stock regulator and it was leaking about 1-2 psi per hour. Manual says slow leak is a symptom of bad seats in the regulator, so out of the box the regulator is trash and should just be replaced. Now, with all new components, no regulator and just an in-line pressure gauge, plus an 80 PSI safety valve, it’s holding pressure great. The T fitting above the gauge in the photo is only so I could get the inlet horizontal, instead of vertical because I couldn’t find an elbow in line gauge locally.Would have given it 3 stars, becase I had to dump an extra $40 into it directly out of the box to get it functioning properly, But for a different purpose than it’s intended, and maybe as a paint tank the 1-2 psi/hr loss isn’t a big deal.

Good pot for the price
A bit leaky, the pressure only holds up for a couple of hours, but overall it more than meets my needs.

converted this tank into a resin pressure pot. excellent quality!
This is an excellent paint tank! I converted this tank into a resin pressure pot for casting turning blanks and have had no issues. I would buy this product again.

Works great.
Bought this for my husband's projects. He really likes it and it works great.

Bad regulator
The pot seamed to be a one piece pressed cylinder. (Like welding tanks) but the regulator wouldn't show the correct pressure. Shame to return everything for bad part.

Great for Painting, Tough to Modify
This is a nice tank. The components (gauge, regulator relief valve etc) are of decent quality. I wanted to keep the tank but the issue I had with it was that the fittings are secured with locktite or some other adhesive. I felt that I may do material damage to the product or round the hex fittings by forcing them off so I returned it. I was looking to re-purpose this tank for a use other than painting and needed to change out the fittings. The down pipe for example would need to be cut off rather than just unscrewing. I like the look and quality but not worth the hassle. The tank is made of steel not aluminum.

It does the job
Using as a pressure pot for pen blank casting. Cut off the paint outlet tuube so the molds could be put inside. Replaced some of the fittings to add a dessicant dryer, quick fittings, and shutoff vale. Also replaced the regulator/gauge with a digital one for more accuracy. But, you would not have to do that. Using it at 55 PSI. Their 45PSI rationg is extremely conservative. I know others doing this that run up to 70PSI, but 55PSI is fine for Alumilite.
