I bought one before and then came back to buy four more. I own several guitars. I want to have a tuning fork and a chamois cloth for each guitar. These tuning forks are premium. The best I have found on the market at a reasonable price. They have a very long sustain, and are quite loud when applied to the soundboard of a fine guitar. I have found that I need to apply the tip end of the fork to a braced area such as where the shoulder meets the neck. The volume is a boon, once you get used to it, because of the sustain. If you do not know how to tune a guitar with a tuning fork and harmonics then you are probably missing out on the potential of your instrument. Electronic tuners cannot and do not compensate for the very exact differences in harmonic intervals that is observed by the ear. A cheaper tuning fork will bruise you and still not sustain, or maintain the integrity of the note.

Excellent
We bought two for a kids science project - one steel and one aluminum. Both were right on pitch at 440 Hz. Subjectively the steel has a prettier tone but the aluminum was louder. The project tested the effect of temperature on pitch - the results: the steel fork is less affected over a wider temperature range than the aluminum.

Blueing effects sound transfer
I was surprised by the blued finish, but see now it is in the title so any surprise is due to my own lack of attention. The blueing here is a thin plastic coating, unlike the the blueing you'd see on a fine firearm. Excess coating had formed a couple of ridges on the handle tip, which effected the transfer of vibration to my guitar's soundboard. This made the tone sound thinly and unevenly depending upon the angle and pressure applied. I solved this problem by using fine (220 grit) sandpaper to sand off the plastic coating on the end while rounding/smoothing the exposed metal. This evened out the tone and increased the volume. It is a fine tuning fork after this easy correction.

beautiful, weighty
beautiful, weighty, accurate. the blue does wear off a bit but that's fine. I love this and get a lot of compliments on it.

Extremely quiet tuning fork
As others have pointed out, the fork does not have much volume. In fact out of the 5 A-440 tuning forks I have acquired over 40 years of playing music, it was by far the quietest one. So quiet it was unusable for me in tuning my acoustic guitars.
