TOYFB3 Bluetooth Adapter compatible with Lexus RX 3xx 99-03 Non-Nakamichi stereo; hands free phone calls and wireless music streaming

Easy to install. I had a fm modulator for my rx300 for years. Couldn’t deal with the static anymore. The sound is clear on this Bluetooth. It was expensive, but worth every penny.

The GROM BT3 module for my 2002 Lexus RX300 with glovebox-mounted CD Changer went in without any issues. It works great, I can speak at a normal volume while driving at highway speeds. Bluetooth music streaming works perfectly and it pairs with the phone immediately upon starting the car. The output levels are also very "high", with the phone's output (volume) set to 50%, the stereo is loud at a setting of about 50% of maximum volume. Cellphone conversations are also very clear, although the volume of incoming calls is much lower than music output.My fix is to first set the phone volume to 50% when listening to music (Bluetooth audio streaming). When you get an incoming call, the phone will maximize volume to 100%, and the incoming call volume will be approximately the same as your music was. If you set the phone volume to 100% when you are streaming music, then the car stereo volume will only need to be turned up to around 25% of maximum volume, BUT when you get an incoming phone call, it will not be loud enough to hear. Then you will need to turn up the car stereo volume to 50%-75% of maximum to hear the caller, and when you end the call, the music will come on at 50% - 75% of maximum, or, a lot louder than when you were originally listening to it.The factory stereo controls for 'Tune - Seek - Track Up' and '-Down' worked perfectly to pick up and end calls, as well as skip forward and backwards on my playlists. Siri voice commands are also confirmed via the system through the car speakers, so it is very well "integrated" when you are done. Very happy with the product and well worth the additional cost over an FM modulator (and sounds much clearer),There are plenty of videos on YouTube that show you how to disassemble the CR-V dash to remove the stereo, route the mic cable and to install the BT3 module, but none of them show which connector at the rear of the stereo head unit to use, or where they mounted the BT3 module, so I added photos to show which cable you need to remove and "splice" in using the supplied 'Y' cable from GROM. There is enough space to place the module directly behind the stereo head unit (again, I have the stereo head that includes the navigation system). the only additional tip I have is that the removal of the vents above the stereo take much more force than you would think. You will feel like you are going to break something the first time you do it. You can pry it out carefully if you know where the clips are, or you can very firmly pull it straight out towards you.

Very easy, straightforward install and seamless interface/ usage inside of the vehicle.

Such an amazing tool. I recommend anyone with an older (or newer) car get one of these installed, no need to worry about aux cables or the horrible sound-quality of a tape deck converter. Sound quality is fine. Microphone is fine as well, although you have to be facing it for it to really pick up what you're saying.

Very easy to set up on the Rx300 and works fantastically. I only wish I had bought it long ago. Great sound quality. Pairs really well. Definitely a must.

This thing is amazing. I bought it directly from Grom Audio. And had it installed in my Lexus RX300 in 30 minutes. It works great with no problems. Bluetooth works great for streaming audio and phone calls. I recommend to anyone with an RX300 to put this inside it.
