My favorite knife when missing. I LOVE this knife. It is always the first one I reach for. Super sharp and cuts though anything. I never put them in the dishwasher so it stays sharp.

I got my wife this and the green ZCut blade for mother's day this year since she loves the blue counter puppy I got previously. All the Spyderco blades we have got so far have been super sharp (even right out of the package!) and have lasted long with no issues (even if we had any it would be no problem because Spyderco has a great warranty and stands behind their blades). This one is great for any task you'd want a serrated blade for like some tough meat or bread really anything! So grab this nice bright red blade today and replace all your boring kitchen knives with a trusted made in the USA company!

This is our SECOND purchase of this same model. It's a great little kitchen knife that is so sharp it's scary! We immediately wash the knife and put it away after use out of an excess of caution--it's not a knife you would want to grab haphazardly out of a drain board or the dishwasher.ALSO, a note of caution on using it to cut dense vegetables, like butternut or acorn squash. Kitchen knives don't typically have a full tang that goes all the way to the end of the handle. After over TWO DECADES of use, the tang began to break through the handle because we had been putting downwards pressure on the blade to cut through dense produce. That's not the fault of the knife, but ours for using it in a manner for which it was not intended.

Love it for cutting up my organic veggies from my garden for canning.

Great prep knife

Probably the sharpest knife I own. You have to be careful using this knife. I have no doubt that you could cut a finger off if used improperly. It's that sharp. Extremely well made and for the price, I don't think you can find better. I own two different sets of Heinkel's, pro chef and the 3 bolt sets, and they don't even compare in sharpness to this knife.The only con I can think of is the handle is on the smallish side. I was kind of surprised as it looks bigger in the picture. However, it's very comfortable and I'm sure I'll get used to it. If you want a general kitchen utility knife, this is the one to get.

This is a fantastic product for the money . Super sharp edge that last for years . I would recommend this product to anyone. I would tell people for first time users be careful it easy to cut yourself until you be come familiar with how sharp it is , A great buy for the money and hold a edge for years .Update 1 - 2020 I notice Amazon is no longer selling the Spyderco kitchen knife, I believe it to be a grave mistake to discontinue a great quality kitchen knife. To my surprise when I return to purchase as a gift they only offered private seller at a hiked price of more then $ 20.00 . I would ask Amazon to please if possible to offer these knives again .
