Education and the Significance of Life Paperback – September 9, 2008

A breaking the barriers book, thought provoking, uplifting. I find so much worth and value in it. Do take your time to read it.

I wish I had read it earlier before my kids got older.

Scary. Our African-American, urban education students are being set up to fail. It is a dreadful situation. I have read this book twice but I am afraid to pass it own because people do not like to return books.

A great man with deep thoughts-It will be of little value to most people who will not want to think about the horrible state of the world.

My dad really digs this guy, and for that reason I love it. I've heard recordings of this guy in the mornings on KPFK 90.7 FM @ 5ish in the morning... not bad... worth thinking about.

Understanding what education is at heart; the conscious practice of intelligence.

This book is a very difficult read. I felt confused reading it, but I think the author is very intelligent and definitely knows a lot about education. Also, this text is old and refers to all students as "him" and never "her" which makes me a little annoyed.
