I have to agree wholeheartedly agree with all of the 5 star reviews left so far.As another customer who purchased this product after a search through EWG I am thrilled with the result. I'm red-headed and very fair skinned and burn easily because of it. I grew up in the Arizona desert and had become acclimated to the light quality there. After moving to the Denver area I was shocked by the change the altitude made and how I react to sun exposure. Where I used to get a little warmth to my skin tone after short periods of time, and could stave off burning with judicious use of sun screen, here I start to burn after 15 minutes in direct sun - requiring daily, constant sunscreen application and cover. (And it's not a burn that tans underneath.) I've taken to covering up entirely and avoiding the sun whenever possible and constantly wearing sunscreen. (Which I should do anyway, but I can't even seem to BBQ in the back yard for dinner without getting pink. It's annoying.)The result is I'm super pale, and it doesn't really look like a healthy pale, I look pretty sickly most days. I have been hoping to find a way to get just a little color, but my history with self-tanners has left me looking like a pumpkin. I was thrilled to see all the positive reviews here.My first application was this morning and eight hours later I'm totally excited. I've got just the slightest bit of warmth going on in my skin tone. It spread evenly and easily from my finger tips to my toes, and while I do echo the sentiments about the smell (strong, generic floral scent) and how it lingers, it's not nearly enough to make me consider not using it. If you use primarily unscented products it's going to be pretty shocking for you, and if you're accustomed to natural scents (i.e. essential oils) it's going to make you wrinkle your nose. It's not a terrible smell, though. Just really strong.(More pleasant than raw shea butter, more annoying because it *lingers*)Do make sure you take the time to get it spread evenly; I do have a few streaky spots, mostly on the backs of my hands where I know I wasn't as careful. I'm positive they'll disappear when I apply the second coat tomorrow.The color came through slowly, it's subtle and not at all orange. I now know I need to apply more to my legs than to my arms, and I can probably use more in general for a darker tone right off, but a little does go a long way if you want just a little color.This is my new favorite product.

I have bought this self tanner 6 times . Yes it’s that good . Looks natural and easy to apply . I apply it at night and rinse off in the morning . Applies just like regular lotion and no streaks . Also make sure to shower and exfoliate your skin before applying any self tanner .

I have been looking for a self-tanner that is all-natural. EWG Skin Deep has given this product a 2 which is very good! I felt good about buying this, and I feel good about using it. I am pale, and I don't like to tan due to wrinkles, skin cancer, not enough time, etc. This tanner works amazing for a natural tanner. With one application at night and about 10-12 hours of development time, my legs and arms are about one/two shades darker in color. If I want more color I'll apply it again the next night. It has no smell when you put it on, but as the DHA develops there is a slight smell but not bad at all. It is very moisturizing. If you rub, smooth and blend it in well, you will have no streaks.Here is my self-tanning routine :1. Hop in the shower2. Get a loofah and soap and exfoliate wherever you want to self-tan3. Get out of the shower and dry off well4. Apply regular lotion to your wrists, elbows, kneecaps, ankles and feet5. Apply tanning lotion and rub in well (it will be white at first then it will sink into your skin)6. With remaining product on your hands lightly go over elbows, kneecaps and ankles7. Add a little (like 1/2 a teaspoon) of product and rub into the feet and around the toes8. Turn your ceiling fan on and do something in your room for about 30 mins while it dries (you'll still feel really moisturized and that's okay, the product has sunk into your skin)9. Go to sleep and shower off in the morning after 10-12 hours10. Maintain your tan by moisturizing your skin and not exfoliating until you want to start over with your tan
