Excellent value, well made and a smooth shave.
Had my first shave with the Kamasuri today and really enjoyed it. Because it was my first time using this razor I used a Shark blade rather than my usual Perma-sharp. For me this type of shavette was easier to hold and to use as opposed to the ones that swing open. The quality of this razor is great and it was easy to load. I'll be using this razor exclusively for the month of October and will be updating this review if needed but so far so good. Get this razor even if you're just wanting to do cleanup work or beard shaping.

Constructed well and has good weight.
Looking for something that I could shave the hairs around my lips. The small hairs are hard to get with a saftey razor and this fits the bill. No more pokey hairs on my lip and in the corners of my mouth. Still working on technique as you can cut yourself every easily. The blades that come with it seem to work well, will probably last a lifetime.

Close shave!
Straight razors are fun but take a lot of upkeep, and sometimes that leads to a rough shave. This razor features very affordable replaceable blades and is a perfect substitute. The shorter blade length has less chance of nicks; the rubber handle ensures an easy to control experience.

Samurai's Blade
Really great sturdy product, has heft to it so I knew it was a quality product. Blades were nice and came with a ton of em, first timers be super careful. My first couple shaves i did ending up nicking myself once each time, remember up and down with the blade in hand never side to side. Use a really lubricating gel or foam to make it easier, and just take your time. Don't rush and don't apply too much pressure, its a great razor but sharp

Sturdy, Solid, ergonomic
I have previously had a straight blade kit (disposable blades, but the 'traditional folding' style) and was really not a fan. I made it work for a while but it became tedious with how I had to hold the folded handle and how it would change shape in my hand when all I wanted was a solid handle. This solved that issue entirely. It is a solid piece, with a snap-in section that holds the blade in. Its pretty easy to set up, theres no play in the blade once set properly. The handle has a rubberized grip with a band near the center. Great grip feel even when wet. Has just the right amount of handle to be fluid but precise at the same time.Sturdy and solid, but not crazy heavy. But most of all, it allows me to shave the angles I want when lining up my beard. It was significantly easier with this style Straight Blade/ Straight Edge handle. Lines are sharper and just so much easier to use. Will absolutely continue to use it and save on barber visits! This is the device that will up my face-game at home.

Wonderful Razor!
I love this razor. It feels weighted in the hand just right and is very comfortable to hold and to work with. I found the blades to be very sharp and precise. I changed it after only a couple of shaves, because I like for the blade to slice through my beard and mustache hairs like a warm knife through butter, and after it begins to feel like it is cutting more because of manpower instead of due to the sharpness of the blade then I go ahead and swap out the blade for a new one. Inserting and removing the blade is a breeze and can be done in a couple of seconds and on you go with your life. It is the perfect size for what I needed it to do, which is to trim and shape my mustache and beard. It is easy to hold to use in both my dominant and non-dominant hands and in some of the reviews I have read complaints about the sharpness of the blades, I personally had no such complaints and the blades to are very sharp, durability might be a factor if one is used to using the same blade for more than just a few shaves, but as I said, I like my blades, nice and sharp when I’m shaving. Depending upon what your needs are, I think you will be very happy with this item and I look forward to using it for a long time with confidence.

Nicer than I imagined!
Switched from cartridge shaving to DB and SB a couple of months ago. I have shopped and tried several razors, but have been unsure about using a straight razor. Saw a video on the Japanese style and popped for this one to try.Very impressed. I ordered it on the 4th of June and received it yesterday the 6th. It has a good heft and feel. Not wanting to rush the process I waited until after today's shower to use the razor. It was simple to load. The cover does not slide in from the end. You drop it in about halfway in to allow pins on the cover to align with holes in the handle. From there it easily slides and clicks into place.I wear glasses and found it awkward to shave downward from my sideburns as my hand hit my glasses. One is supposed to shave the left side of your face with the left hand and the right side with the right hand. I will get used to it. I was looking forward to the shave and expected several nicks and cuts as part of the learning process. I was not disappointed (LOL). I enjoyed the process and did incur some cuts, much like paper cuts. An alum block managed them just fine. (I had received much worse cuts from a DE safety razor.)Time was against me today and I made two nice passes but did a third, cleanup pass, with a more familiar razor for times sake. Can't rush things when you are learning! My beard growth was a hearty four day crop and the Facon razor took care of it very easily, leaving me BBS for the most part. (As noted, I did not want to rush myself, so touch up was done with a familiar SE razor.) BTW, both razors will take the same 1/2 DE blade. I'm not sure a snapped DE will fit if the break is uneven as it "locates" on three bumps, but also rests on a ledge (dictates blade reveal) for it's length (an uneven break of a DE blade might not seat well.) I had installed the blade three times, before shaving, to become familiar with the process and after shaving, to facilitate cleaning, and found it straight forward. But just now I walked through it again and was fumble fingered. Performance under pressure? The price point is excellent. If the razor is opened, rinsed clean and dried after each shave, it should last for a long time. (Just common sense maintenance and hygiene.) When you register your razor it triggers the one year warranty. Write a review(*) on Amazon and get 100 extra blades for free (don't know if that includes S&T.). (*I have not gotten them yet and I have made no promise of a flowery positive endorsement. Just the facts, (and my impressions) Ma'am.It needs a handy way to store it other than the plastic sleeve it came with..Looking forward to my second shave with the Facon and the honing of my skills. Though I don' t have to hone the blade! Just pop in a new one when it gets dull.
