As a beginning stained glass student and having arthritis makes it very hard to hold the glass cutting knives. This machine has a weighted cutter and holds the cutter at the right angle to do a good job. I am even cutting better but that may have more to do with practice than the cutter or a combination. All in all a handy tool but pricy.

After countless hours on the phone with the manufacturer, and video chats with their customer service rep, we were able to determine it was the product not my technique which resulted in the inability to score glass with this. Avoid it at all costs. Unfortunately, by the time all the trouble shooting was completed we were not able to return this item.

I really love this cutter. I'm new to glass fusing and have problems with using too much force. This cutter helps me to cut angles and free form shapes easily. The system is user friendly and feels sturdy.

It helps guide the cut but have to be careful when cutting strips. Apparently I may have not gotten it down yet. Still trying to get constant strips the same width.

Quick set up. easy to use. Takes up little space.

I find it difficult to set up and awkward to use! The set up instructions were very vague and hard to follow. Mine didn't come with the black stopper you see on the picture so my ruler doesn't sit straight making my straight line cuts off. The weighted cutter is nice, but I wouldn't buy it again. I don't find it useful for cutting sheets larger than fits under the guide arm, which is not even as long as a "normal" sheet of glass (8x8, 10x10...)
