I needed a thickener for my 100-year-old mother. It works perfectly. You can adjust how thick you want it to be. It doesn't add any kind of flavor or unpleasant texture. She's very happy with it, and so am I.

This product is used by my friend who can not drink regular liquid due to esophagus problem. This product makes each liquid thicker and suitable for him to drink.Good product worth every penny!

Having to thicken liquids is never a preference but necessary for some with swallowing issues. We have found this product to be better than others we've tried. More expensive but dissolves easier and tastes better.

We are new to the world of the need to thicken liquids, due to dysphasia. This Thicken Up is more concentrated, thus you have a much smaller container sitting out than the Resource brand of Thick-It. Thicken Up states to put its product in first and then add water and it does mix very well. We prefer this product for its clarity of the thickened product and perhaps a slight edge in taste as well.

I got this for my 87 years old mom’s, I purée all her food and some of them they are more liquify and a scoop of the thickening it helps.

It's fine if your swallow test shows it is necessary. Water, especially that is thickened, seems to be like trying to "drink" a jelly fish, so we are delighted that my husband with good speech therapy - even with Parkinson's - has improved to the point that if he will tuck his chin before he swallows, he can have clear liquids. The speech pathologist and speech therapists had never seen IMPROVEMENT in Parkinson's patients, but had usually been delighted when there had been no regression. My husband is a good and cooperative patient, but we give glory to God for this grace gift of improvement. The product is good, so I have put it on the top shelf unless and until it becomes necessary again.
