All Natural Serrano Ham Shoulder by Fermin (9-11 lbs) (No Nitrates or Nitrites Added)

I looked exhaustively on (h)Amazon to try and find a jamon that did NOT come with a ham stand and knife because we already have those, and I don't want more! Apparently it's hard to find. Finally found this one and it arrived way earlier than I expected -- no complaints about that! My husband is Spanish, and we just had some Spaniards over for dinner and they all gave their approval and likes for the jamon. Note though -- it has a lot more fat than usual. My husband says maybe 1.5x more fat than other jamons he's used to, but lucky for him, the fat is his favorite part.

High quality meat but you should know how to cut it wisely and not wast the meat. I’d buy it again !

Good product for the price. My wife is a Spaniard and I have spent years in Spain. This product is worth the price. Of course there are products that may be superior, but so is the price. This is good. I would buy it again. The supplier of the product, DAO, was very prompt and it was packed well.

I'm not Spanish, and I admit I didn't know quite what to expect. But I do love ham... American Country Ham, Prosciutto, and, above all, French Jambon Cru. I was hoping for something like one or the other of the last two. What I got was a hard, greasy, almost impenetrable lump of stuff that was at best guess fifty percent bone, and forty-five percent fat. I did find a vein of lean meat that I am mining with difficulty. The flavor is pleasant enough but if I get a yield of more half a pound of lean meat, I will be surprised. It seems we are looking at around $320.00 a pound for actual ham. a bit pricey for my taste.

Lovely taste of Spain. The last one was a little premature. It also developed surface mold after a few weeks. The previous one was perfect. I hope the future ones will be so as well.
