The only way to improve a Herman Miller chair
I've loved my Herman Miller chair since receiving it as a gift in 2008, and I've been in it daily since I started working from home in 2017. The lack of a headrest was always my biggest complaint. Now that I have a headrest on it, I can lean back and relax while I'm on work calls or when I'm relaxing in my office and watching TV. I'm really impressed with the versatility/adjustability of the design.

This Headrest is a Must-Have
The media could not be loaded. This headrest is a must have, I just installed it and I hope it holds up well over time. It was really easy to install too, I just popped in didn’t even need a screw or anything. Matches the remastered version of the HM Great product perfectly. Overall a great product, on the pricey side but worth it 100%.

I wish I had bought it sooner.
I want to start this review off with a quote from another review that won me over: "I wish I would have bought it sooner".The design, materials, and color are a perfect match for my Aeron charcoal chair.I'll get to this later, but customer support was excellent. This review is for the H4 version. I'm a programmer and a while back I purchased a Herman Miller Aeron chair. However, during some intense programming sessions, my neck muscles would start to bunch up. This headrest is exactly what I needed to handle it. Now that I can lean back to support my neck, and it actually helps me with my posture. I was seriously considering purchasing another chair with a headrest when I saw this add on. The price was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it really is a perfect match and works very well. Considering I've had the chair for about 10 years, I expect it is worth it.Fit:In regards to fit, I'm 5'9. When the chair is in the upward position, I use the top downward slope as support. When reclining I tilt the rest up and use the front part. It fits quite well. Adjustment is pretty quick with the clamping lever which is easy to reach, but for the most part I just tilt the upper pivot.Support:The first one that I ordered had a slight manufacturing defect where one side wasn't fully pushed in. It worked fine, it just looked wonky. I contacted support and they got back to me immediately and sent out a new one.Adjustments:(This is not as big of a deal as I probably make it sound, but thought I would mention it.)There are two pivot points on this headrest (which in the pictures, you can tell from the two circles). The first is the bottom part which is controlled by the clamp. The second one is higher up behind the headrest, which is controlled by the tension of two screws. If I'm repositioning the upper head rest a lot, I eventually need to retention the screws. Its really not a big deal, but thought I would mention it.The plastic caps that cover the screws have kind of a fine edge. To keep from marring them, I used a credit cart to work around the cap and pull it up. As a side note, they include spare caps in the package if you do mangle it :) I just keep the caps off for now, but I'll probably just put them back in and not fully seat them to make removal easier.I'm quite happy with the product and considering I use it every day, well worth it.

Easy to Install and Vital Component
When I got my Herman Miller chair off of Facebook Marketplace a few years ago, I was highly pleased with it but felt that it was missing something: a headrest. I thought that I needed to purchase a larger chair but upon browsing Amazon one day, this popped up and it was instantly what I was looking for! When I finally received the product, I noted the high quality. It was solid. The color matched perfectly despite not having the sticker affixed to the bottom of the chair, indicating which color to get as per manufacturer's instructions.Without reading the instructions I quite easily put it together to the chair and voila! It was the missing piece. I got the H4 version as I'm 5'11" and it was just right. Now I can go about working and resting my head easily with this new addition to the chair. I took one star off because there appears to be some warping of the mesh on the right side of the headrest (you can see it in the pic).

Fits fine but wobbles
It works fine, fits pretty well, but this is a poor replacement for a built-in headrest. It’s wobbly, wildly overpriced, and it’ll pop off if you bump it too hard. But since this is related to Herman Miller, it’s never going to be appropriately priced.

It's exactly what I wanted
This headrest is designed to match my old Aeron C chair perfectly. And it allows me to sit in the chair with my head at the right angle to avoid neck strain. I may not have installed it correctly, or be using it correctly though. The instructions and FAQs talk about how it's designed to "flow freely" with your head and not "lock into a single place." Well, I have it adjusted so that it stays in the same spot -- which is exactly the spot where I want it. Bottom line: I was facing a choice. I could spend $200 on a headrest for my Aeron or replace it with a chair that had a headrest and sat similarly, for about $1,200. Because the headrest works so well, I didn't have to replace the chair. So I'm thrilled. Please note. When I looked at the reviews on Amazon, I saw one where the buyer had originally purchased the size 3 headrest and it didn't work so well; so they replaced it with the size 4, and it was great. Based on this, I got the size 4. As I said, I have the Aeron model C - the largest one -- and the size 4 is great. So it seems that you have to pay attention to which size you get.

Disappointed
It feels better using my Herman Miller Aeron without this headrest. The headrest bothers my neck and doesn't feel comfortable, no matter how I try to adjust it. For reference, I'm 6'1" and weigh 180 lbs.
