Attention Fishermen
This head net is full coverage to keep the gnats and mosquitoes or what bugs you have in your area ofc your head, face and neck while fishing. I’ve bought a lot of these and have given them to a lot of my fishing buddies. I also keep extra ones in the boat for a guest who forgot their head net or doesn’t have one. They are easy to use, extremely functional, lightweight and a great value when you consider that fishing without slapping at bugs or reapplying bug spray that irritates my eyes. This is so much easier and better. Get several, they last year after year and you will want to share them.

Big. Strong. Stops the bugs Light weight. Works well with brimmed hat.
Lifesaver. Woke up one night with a gnat in my ear so I decided to order this netting. Where I live, horses wear mesh head covers during the summer to protect against gnats who love the moist areas around the eyes, nose, and mouth. And apparently the ears!I work for hours outdoors and this netting is perfect. I got this particular brand because it covers my huge straw hat and adds virtually no extra weight. I am shocked how strong the netting is as I often get tangled up in the oak tree branches while mowing. But don’t let the sheerness fool you. The netting is strong. The netting has never snagged and I abuse it. It’s Easy to wash (even with the garden hose! ) and quick to dry.The netting is black but it is like a sun glasses effect. I appreciate the slight dimming effect anyway because it helps me forget about the oppressive and blazing sun shining on me.With the netting on, I can put in a lot of work at the worst times of day for mosquitoes (sunrise and sunset). This is important because these are also the coolest times of day as well.I only notice the netting when I am not wearing it and the bugs had found me in the yard. In other words it’s not uncomfortable to wear. I Will be ordering more for myself and spouse. I want one to have in the car for my on-the-road activities in Florida where bugs love to bug ya.These would make excellent stocking stuffers at Christmas for who would never think of covering their heads but would give it a try it if someone gave it to them. The cinch squeeze toggle(?) operates quickly and never snags. It Works flawlessly when the bugs are on a targeted rampage and I need to tighten the netting at the bottom. The structure of the net is well thought out with a seam at the top which helps you center the net on your hat (especially when zooming a little too on the tractor mower). Great gear! Thank you.

Useful, but there is finer netting out there
I think for most applications, the Timbucktoo net works well for mosquitoes and flies. Best to use with a hat to keep the net off your face.It claims to have to smallest holes, but they are not no-see-ums grade netting. We ended up purchasing the Outdoor gear deluxe spring headnet and the holes are finer in comparison. Tradeoff is that the Outdoor Gear one is bigger and heavier because of the spring. All in all, I think the Timbucktoo net is fine for the price, but people should be aware it is not no-see-ums grade netting.

Keeps the bugs out
It’s black fly season where I live. This mosquito netting has allowed me to comfortably work in the yard without black flies diving into my face! The netting is light weight, easy to see through, and fits comfortably over my baseball cap. The toggle at the bottom tightens as needed. I highly recommend!

Two suggestions
Net is a little too narrow to go over my shoulders as pictured. I’ll have to modify it. Also black netting restricts visibility even on a sunny day. It will for sure stop noseeums.

This is PERFECT!
So I use to laugh when I heard someone got bitten by a gnat 🤣. Yeah 21 years living in my home...1 acre...I do my own yard, will spray Off for mosquitoes, well gnats are bad this year and ...got bit on the lip by a gnat! Swollen for two days! So bought this shipped next day and yes this IS the net for repelling ALL insects! Don’t be fooled by other “holes per inch” they can’t compete, this is the finest, toughest, net out there, it Will fit over large brim hat and I tuck it into the neck hole of my shirt. I live in Texas and it is HOT, breeze - air blows through no problem. Just watch out, I got so use to wearing it I forgot and spit straight into the net 🤣 ! Buy it now! JC

Great protection from mosquitos
This Timbuktoo Midges Head Net is just what I needed for mosquito protection when I'm out star gazing. I also wear a wide brim hat (about 14 inches in diameter), and this head net easily fits over the brim of the hat. The net is also large enough that I can lift the front of the net over the hat's brim when looking through the telescope's eyepiece and I keep the net down the rest of the time. It comes in a nice storage pouch, too. A trade off, however, having 600 holes per inch versus a net with fewer holes (which means larger holes and less protection) is that it's more difficult to see through the netting. In the majority of applications, this is probably not an issue. However, because I use it in the dark and try to see faintly lit stars through the netting, it does obscure my vision. If Timbuktoo begins offering the same head net, but with larger holes (not too large, though, and defeat its purpose), I would definitely purchase it.
