How to be Lovely: The Audrey Hepburn Way of Life Hardcover – June 3, 2004

I read this in a day. It tells a lot about her life and the pictures are so cool to look at. The pages were all very glossy and nice quality.

I absolutely love this book! My cousin in California was reading it this summer when I visited on vacation - and I picked it up and couldn't stop reading. I came home and immediately bought my own copy and am working throught it bit by bit, chapter by chapter, as I read about Audrey Hepburn's wonderful perspective on health, on beauty, on love, on style, on happiness, and much more. I'm even incorporating some of her wisdom into my health & wellness blog on Chevy Chase Patch. [...]This is a charming read and filled with so many wonderful quotes and application points for life in today's busy world. And given that I live in stressed out, aggressive, over-caffeinated, often "not-so-lovely" Washington, DC, I'm finding great joy in modelling Audrey and bringing little corners of loveliness in my workplace, in my home, and in all my various relationships.I highly recommend this fabulous read! It definitely is a stocking-stuffer for my girlfriends and sisters this year...

While this is not an autobiography, it is well written & does give you quotes & insights into her life.

The Audrey Hepburn Way of Life was not at all what I expected. I assumed the book was to be a short novel of Audrey; however, what I found was ten chapters full of short tid bits of her life in the form of quotes. Although I did not get my biography of Audrey, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and have learned new life lessons each time I read it. Melissa Hellstern did a wonderful job and I highly recommend the book.

I was very surprised when I received this book! I bought it as a gift for a friend. It was in wonderful condition and was very high quality. It was hard cover and the pages were the thick, durable, glossy type. The seller packed it so nicely with a cute little tag that read "Enjoy" and a completely adorable card of thanks. It warmed me to find those personal touches. You can't beat the price for such a lovely, and memorable book about Audrey Hepburn's life. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

An enjoyable, quick read with good info, nicely structured, and entertaining.But the Kindle version has an appalling number of typos: really horrible quality. It's almost as if someone scanned in the paperback and didn't bother to check the results. Some of the images are funky too, which is more forgivable. But why a major publisher didn't do more quality control before releasing the e-book, I can't imagine. I'm offended they took my money for a product like this and feel sorry for the author being represented in this way.

Anyone who admired Audrey Hepburn as an actress will enjoy getting to know her as a human being. Audrey didn't live a charmed life but she did live a full life. She gave back to the world through the children and her work with UNICEF. I thoroughly enjoyed this look at her life in words and photographs.
