Surprisingly, an amazing find! Very pleased with this buy.
For the price, I didn’t have high expectations for my first Fude or Bent nib style fountain pens. For reference, I love Lamy pens for the simplicity & function and I have a massive technical pen collection with seven different manufacturers. So, I’m a Pen & Ink guy. This pen is the Duke, Chaplin model that is a tribute to Charlie’s work. It adds to the pen surprisingly. It made little difference for the purchase decision, however I was impressed with finish & craftsmanship for an inexpensive pen. But I admit I find both the construction & finish of the pen very nice & and dare I say quality workmanship. I’m not big on heavy fountain pens. This has weight to it but I find it’s comfortable & not detracting. It comes with an ink converter and allows for drawing ink directly from nib into converter. Works well. The only complaint, and it’s minor, is you can hear the ink converter rattle from time to time inside pen. Probably remedied by a piece of tape? I’d love to review other pens from this company/manufacturer “Duke” but it was difficult to find out more about them. I’m a huge technical pen guy & pen & ink fanatic, and I am hugely enjoying this Fude nib or Bent nib. Also, I’ve found you can find varying degrees of bent nib apparently. It seems the general one is about 55° degrees and I would estimate it’s about 1.0 at its widest width and approximately.10mm when using the pen backside for the thinnest line. You can sketch in ways not possible with other set ups- it literally has changed the way I sketch with this nib. There is several YouTube videos if interested. The ink flow is awesome. I haven’t ran technical pen ink through it yet. I use Faber Fountain Schwartz Black currently. Also, worth noting it was well wrapped in bubble wrap, so it was well protected & arrived in perfect shape. I don’t write many reviews or publicly recommend products, but I support this pen 100%. Absolutely one of the top ten purchase from Amazon I’ve ever purchased. So unexpected, it made it even better. Good luck.

Smiles.
To quote Charlie Chaplin, “a day without laughter is a day wasted.” The moment I saw this pen when it showed up in my suggestions, I knew I wanted it, it was just a matter of when. The shape is so delightful. The celebration of Charlie Chaplin hearkens back to a time of innocence. A time when simple things invoked gratitude, joy and broadened our imaginations. Bummer the pen doesn’t come in a case other than a velvet bag. Charlie Chaplin deserves better. This pen posts and for me is a requirement. It’s very short. You can see it compared to other pens. It has some heft to it which is wonderful to write with. Since having this pen, I’ve gone through several fillings and I can say I love it more now than I did when I first saw it. For me, this pen is awesome. It feels very well made and thought out and then the shape. The shape just makes me smile. I’ll be buying the purple version as well. Terrific.

Pen functionality
When writing with the cap on it quite heavy while writing. The ink flow at times is inconsistent. When the cap is on the pen to close its wobbly. Not a secure fit I'm afraid it will leak in my purse so this pen stays home

Enjoyable drawing experience
I love this pen! It suits my hand well for drawing. I purchased the option with the fude nib that enables me to get a variety of line width with a single nib. The great thing about a fude nib is its reliability in producing the line you want regardless of pressure. For urban sketching it’s great because on unstable work surfaces, like your propped up knee, the need to control nib pressure is less than a flex nib or brush tip. The feed is wet which is great for reverse writing. When doing that the nib is an extra ef which is great when searching for guide lines. I love the shape of the pen. Even though it’s a nod to Charlie Chaplin, the shape is very functional. The barrel is the perfect width for my medium-large men’s hand and tapers to a point that feels like a natural extension of the pen. The step downs on the barrel is rounded and is well placed. The metal pen body is well built with a nice smooth hard paint finish and has a solid click when capping.I can’t recommend this pen more for fun drawing.Cons: SUPER HEAVY CAP. I don’t post the pen. With it posted it is back weighted but surprisingly balanced. It would still be too heavy for me to use, but unposted it’s a dream. Carrying it in a pocket is comical. It’s in my backpack and with its unique shape easy to find.
