Bought Again it Was So Good!
I have thick curly hair and lose a lot of it when I’m in the shower. This saves our septic tank! I’ve bought two of these so far b/c I love them so much(last one got lost in our move). Easy to clean and cute in your shower! Would highly recommend! Definitely cut some of the pieces on the bottom if you are having trouble with water drainage! I promise it still catches the hair!

Fits my drain and easy to keep clean.
For my drain, works great! It's easy to remove the hair afterwards and easy to keep clean. I just remove the hair, rinse it off and hang it to dry.

Does the job I guess
Does what it needs to do. I just couldn't get past how it feels pulling the hair off of it. Didn't matter if it was wet or dry hair.

It does its job, but I have no desire to use this daily
Does it stop hair from going down the drain? Yes. It absolutely does its job. It is also very easy to install, remove, and wipe clean. For actual functionality and what I was imagining when I ordered this, it lives up to my expectations. My issues with it -1. When totally clear, it still slows the water from being drained, which means it ALWAYS gives that "my tub just started backing up" sound of the water hitting a small puddle instead of the bare floor. This, quite frankly, is a pet peeve of mine.2. Even just a little bit of hair will have the drain backed up as if you have a massive clog. This means you're standing in a puddle of water, and once the tub finally drains, you have all your shampoo, conditioner, and body wash remnants draining slowly away, leaving a layer of soap scum over the entire tub...meaning it no longer looks clean and will need to be cleaned much more often. Yes, you can pull out the drain ring and wipe it off at any time, but reaching into backed up water makes me feel like I'm dirty, and the last thing I want at the end of every single shower is to feel dirty. While pulling hair clumps out of the drain is one of my most dreaded chores, I will take the infrequent dread over a daily one. I am keeping this though, as there are some situations it still comes in very handy for. My main example of this is when I've just used my carpet shampooer - it picks up SO MUCH cat hair that my vacuum has left behind. When I go to wash the components in my tub (I'm in an apartment so I don't have a utility sink or an outdoor hose to use instead), it always clogs the drain, no matter how much fur I grab out in the process. In this case, the drain ring has been a vast improvement, so I'm still glad I have it - it's just not the piece of magic I had hoped for.

Wish I Bought it Sooner!
Absolutely in love! Dose exactly what it's supose to do. I live in a house with 3 of us having long hair and this tub ring makes it really easy to clear the drain. Also my drains are pop up plugs and it fits great around it. I wish I would have purchased sooner. One thing that may be a flaw to some is once it catches hair on the bottom it slows down the drain down but hasn't stopped it and not slow enough to really notice.

It doesn't work very well. I really wish it worked. It's so pretty and cute.
I really really really wanted this to work out. It's so pretty and cute. Very superficially it will work to an extent. It does catch some hair and I did pull out a decent amount of hair that was caught off the tubring. However a lot WILL GO DOWN YOUR DRAIN and therein lies the problem. If you are a renter it doesn't matter, it's not your house. But if you own a house you really don't want to risk hair going down YOUR drain and pipes and causing potential problems down the line. Most people might not notice the hair going down the drain until it's too late. For us we noticed because our hair is super (down to our butt) long so I see it sticking out of the drain after I remove the tubring. Obviously I removed the tubring after it's dried out/no water is running otherwise it would just push everything down the drain if water is in motion.Sadly when I start pulling the hair that is sticking out from the drain a LOT MORE kept coming out so there is a problem of this thing does not catch a majority of the hair. Most people WILL NOT NOTICE it because hair is too short and once it flushes down the drain you won't realize until it's too late and one day years later there's a clog.If you care about your pipes. Go for the tried and true methods. Get the OXO pop up drain hair catcher thing. That thing actually is heavy enough to not move around and actually does catch everything. It's not nearly as cute and pretty as this but it's practical and easy to clean.SPEAKING OF WHICH. This thing is actually a nightmare to clean. It gets REALLY GROSS REALLY FAST. I just don't have time to be sitting there with a toothbrush to clean out all the gunk. It WILL gunk up fast due to shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/soap/bubble scum. The gunk will get very gross and get stuck in the INSIDE of the thing and it's hard to get it out. You can't ignore it either because once it gets stuck on the inside it will make drainage almost impossible. The gunk blocks it so water won't flow down the drain easily it's a mess. They have this classic round version and a floral version. I have 2 bathrooms so I bought one of each. Both have exactly the same issues and I wasted my money so you don't have to. So let me answer your question of no, it doesn't get better if you buy the other version. It won't be better.

Beautiful colors, great start...not good long term
Frankly I was thrilled with this at first. But as soon as it's collected enough soap scum inside the inner portion of the ring, it truly stops working great. It still catches hair wonderfully, don't get me wrong, it does THAT job, but it clogs up the tub so the water won't drain easily. Cleaning this thing is super challenging. I contacted the company and they recommended cutting parts of the ring away to make it easier to clean, which I didn't do because I feel that would ruin the functionality. But I'm ordering a different type of hair catcher because long term, this one requires too much difficult cleaning so that the tub water will drain. I would not buy again.
