Not the floppiest book, but it is one of the best editions of the book.

Quick fast and humor filled. Absolutely twisted ending but a happy one. Characters are interesting and playful. Recommended for everyone.

I hate to admit it, but this is my first-ever Oscar Wilde novel. I got so involved in the waves of the fantasy world that I let go of the urge of reading classics a million times; I shouldn't have. Thank god for you guys and your timely classics updates that compelled me to switch gears and take up this one...This is a play divided into 3 acts; a romatic comedy, which you wouldn't realise until you have reached Act II. It is said to be a trivial comedy for serious people. The plot revolves around Earnest Worthing, who is a lot of people—John, John's brother, and Algernon Moncrieff, but also nobody.Thinking what's going on? Bunbury!..What's that? It's an act of creating a fictitious scenario that provides an excuse for avoiding unwanted engagements. A lot of us have done that—haven't we? In this novel, it was a fictitious creation of a personality—Mr. Earnest Worthing...Now imagine two characters Bunburying around on the name of one and then their worlds collide. Truth unveils like layers of an onion and it's hilarious...I especially liked Algy (Algernon). His conduct was absurd throughout, still entertaining as hell. The friendly banter between him and Jack aka John over muffins cracked me up. Also, not to forget Lady Bracknell's questions...🤣🤣..Even after all this, Wilde surprised me in the end. I swear I didn't see it coming. It's a delightful read. I am glad to have come across it.

The importance of being earnest- the books is divided into 3 Acts & 1st act is about Algernon & Jack and Gwendolen,Jack will play a role of earnest to impress/marry Gwendolen,Act 2 Algernon will use the name as earnest for marrying Cecily,Act 3 The both girls will get to know that their is no one with the name earnest & in climax lies the twist,I refer to read this book who wants to laugh madly, seriously this book changes our mood & makes us laugh & laugh and this is a very short book can be read easily in 2-3 hours.

Fun classic with many twists . Good quality pages.

I brought it because of the book cover but it came with different cover, which was disappointing 😒😤Other than that the book quality is fine, according to the price.

I have been a fan of Oscar Wilde ever since I read The Picture of Dorian Gray in class 9. This play is easily one of his finest works. One cannot possibly dislike Oscar Wilde's plays. When you start reading The Importance of Being Earnest, you will find yourself on the stage, brilliantly lit and carefully organized with you in it's centre. Stepping into each character's shoes as you read their lines. You will ponder over the questions posed by the characters, you will laugh at their silliness and marvel at the wit of the playwright.

A satirical play by Oscar Wilde set in Victorian era, the story revolves around Earnest Worthing who came to meet his Best friend Algernon in London. He has a soft corner for algy's cousin Gwendolen. Jack confess his love to her but was surprised to hear even gwen had feelings for him and her love for the name Earnest. During his conversation with Gwen's mom Mrs. Bracknell, he provided all the necessary details of his family and ancestral background. But there's a catch. Earnest is living a double life, he is jack in real life. He use this name here in London only. And back into his country, he uses Earnest as his lost brother's name. And Algy knew this secret. So he went to jack's mansion for bunburying that he's Earnest, jack's evil brother only to meet jack's niece Cecily , eventually falling in love with her, but for the same reason,the fascinating name Earnest. And then began the events of turmoil and consternation blend with laughter with the most unexpected ending.The Book is in good condition, compact and nicely bind. Delivery was good and in time.
