I have an ancient Makita drill that's been sitting around because the original batteries died a decade ago. It's hard to throw out a high end drill like this because they're well made and do the job well. Rather than throw it out I let it hang out in my tool area for a while. I teach visual arts and needed a drill for the upcoming school year, so I checked Amazon and sure enough, these were offered - and more affordable than a low end drill of questionable quality - so I bought them. they work wonderfully. They fit in both the charger and the drill, and give it plenty of power. Now I have a fantastic drill for my classroom with a fresh set of batteries.

So I had these for a bit now, but wanted to give them a workout. Shipped quick. Out of the box the units were solid and well constructed, as well as the OEM. I charged each in the OEM charger and they were good to go. I then set out drilling, there was power and long life. I drove screws for a while and felt I had the power for the torque needed.In short they performed better than I expected. I given these a couple cycles and workouts by now along with the stress test. I'm very pleased with the purchase.There was no way I was going to purchase OEM batteries, so my old Makita had sat for a while. So for a fraction of the cost of a new drill/driver there is new life.

The batteries were charged on the standard Makita multi purpose charger. The green LED indicated completed charge but the battery lasted less than 1 minute before the tool stopped. When placed back on the charger, the red LED lit which showed the battery was discharged. I suspect that one or more of the individual batteries inside has failed. The same failure happened to the other battery that was sent. I do not recommend this dual battery replacement at all.

I ordered this same battery in February 2021 and had charged it at least 100 since then. Sat in the cold garage over the winters still going strong just tired of switching batteries from tool to tool so I figured this will come in handy having two.The only thing I don't like is now 6.00 more since my last purchase.

Nothing to dislike. I purchased two of the genuine Makita replacement batteries at a much higher price and both failed in less than 6 months. These much more economical after market examples (my 2nd set) are far superior and perform well for at least two years.

So bought these for my home used tools. I was building a deck and original batteries didn’t hold a charge anymore. Looked at the Mikita batteries for $137 and couldn’t justify that just for home use. I am glad I went with these they last just as long as the Makita batteries did. Also held its own with my buddies Dewalt with lithium ion batteries. They are an exact fit and charge on the same charger I already had for the the originals. I will never buy oem batteries again they exceeded my expectations so far.

So far this battery is working as expected. The only issue I had was when I first received it the battery would not take a charge. It took several tries to get it to charge, now it seems to be working OK. I don't know why it wouldn't charge at first so I am worried that it will not last, only time will tell.

I bought these as a replacement for my old Makita batteries that won't hold a charge anymore. I have a small circular saw and a drill that use these batteries and they both still work well. Replacing the batteries with genuine NOS batteries wouldn't have been cost effective and I would have been better off just buying a new drill. These batteries actually fit fine and are a great replacement. They even last longer. Now my drill and saw work as good as new. I'll probably order more of these.
