Very tasty, moist and fresh.I liked that it wasn't loaded with cherries. Could use a few more nuts.Will order again.

I got to say as a kid I HATED fruit cake. This year I decided to try it again. WOW! I have never had a chocolate fruit cake before but MAN did this deliver!! This has to be the best I have had!

I’m not in the habit of writing scorching reviews, but in this case, there simply isn’t anything good I can say about this ‘fruitcake’.I fell for the use of ‘Grandma’. Nearly everyone has a pleasant association with their Grandma. This foul tasting concoction has so many preservatives it had a chemical taste. Good quality fruitcake makes use of the alcohol to act as a natural preservative, but there was so much alcohol it left a nasty aftertaste. Even the consistency and overpowering use of chocolate couldn’t improve the flavor. Chopped nuts and fruit are supposed to be baked with the cake, not stuck on the top. I tried a very thin slice three times to be fair and make sure I just wasn’t imaging that the cake was as bad as I thought. It is that bad and after one bite the rest of the slice went into the garbage. Be aware that the package says there are 11 servings, but the photos shows four thick slices, leaving only 1/2 of the cake. It would be very difficult to slice through all the nuts piled on the top of the cake, and the chocolate makes the cake crumble. It was a complete waste of money. I hope I can get a refund.

I had never had chocolate fruitcake before, but being a fan of fruitcake myself, as well as chocolate, I thought I'd give it a try.I'm so happy that I did! This cake is moist, chewy, flavorful, with just the right amount of fruits incorporated into each slice. It's so rich that a small slice is very satisfying. Accompanied with coffee or tea, it's a real treat!

I did not like the product it was to dry and the alcohol flavor was to strong. The cake was crumbly. They have lots of nuts and fruit. I will not be buying it again.

I sent this chocolate fruit cake to my Mom who loves to have fruit cake each year. She said it is amazing, delicious and moist. And she was thankful to find NO citron. She said it was full of cherries and nuts, and the size was just right. She had never heard of chocolate fruit cake and neither had I until I discovered this. Will send again and again in the coming years.

nothing to write home about. Very difficult to slice. Every knife I tried just caused it to crumble. Did not have a fruit cake texture. More like a dense cake mix with fruit.Disappointed and would not buy again. I did not serve to company because it was a mess on the plate. It was expensive and I had to buy something else to serve.
