I replaced a similar Panasonic cordless phone system with this one. BEST DECISION EVER! For all those reviews that complained about phones not being registered, I say, "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!" I had one phone that didn't work, read the instructions, and had it working in 2 minutes. Easy-peasy! I have the units spread between 3 floors and they all work flawlessly. When I got the system, the power cord to the answering machine was missing. I contacted the seller, and they shipped one out and I had it within 3 days. No questions, no problem. I LOVE this phone system. It even has the ability to link my cell phone into the system. I don't carry my cell around with me at home. This way, no more missed calls! Did I mention the phone system will store 3,000 numbers in the address book. 3,000!!If I had a complaint, it would be having to re-enter stuff from my previous system. Too bad Panasonic doesn't have some way to transfer your phone book and blocked calls from one system to the next. Oh well, are you listening Panasonic? Oh, and it will block like 300 numbers. Just one awesome system.

The units arrived quickly and were as described. Set up was OK, there was one handset that wasn't "linked", so had to do that process. The answering machine play back messages were so garbled on both the base station and the handsets that I could not understand them. The Seller referred me to Panasonic. Good Luck getting through to them. When I finally did get in contact they instructed me to do a "Factory Reset" - which wiped out Everything including the garbled messages AND all the phone numbers I had already programed in. I can't say that the playback works any better, I have not throughly tested it yet. It may be better. Other than the answering machine hassle everything is fine. I'll try to do a follow up if the answering function turns out OK.UPDATE 1-8-19 I had a 10 year old 4 handset Panasonic set that worked just fine. I figured after 10 years it was time to get a 6 handset package that would certainly work better than the 10 year old setup. WRONG. The new display and call blocking features are nice and there are a few other features that are handy. But the SOUND quality is terrible on both the handsets, speaker phone on the handsets and speaker phone on the base station. All the sound continues to be garbled and of very poor quality. Hard to have a continuing conversation with family and friends. Isn't that what a home phone is really for anyway ? I took a chance with a "factory reconditioned unit" and it was a BIG mistake. Trying to save a few $$ was not a good choice on my part. I really relied on Panasonic to deliver a top quality product and they did not do so.

This replaced an older Uniden 2 line phone as I have gone back to just a single line in the home and wanted wireless connectivity to my cell as a second line now. Phone system works great with my Samsung Galaxy S5 cell phone. It provides audible notification when a text comes in or a call is received on the cell along with full talking caller ID for both the cell and land line. The system works excellent.Was very surprised by the range. I have a large two level home and the base is in my office on the lower basement level and it connects even when my cell is charging or sitting nearly anywhere on the main level. Range is obviously going to be different for everyone depending on home construction amount of interference you have, but I was certain I would have to take it to my office each time but do not have to do that. The phone has an incredible number of functions so it took a few days to get it setup exactly the way I wanted it. Take your time, read the manual completely and this phone will do just about anything anyone could ever need it to do. It provides voice notification for nearly everything and with the number of texts and calls I get I had to turn some of these functions off to avoid the cordless phones being too chatty.As others state if you only purchase this phone for the call blocking function its worth it. Sure wish my older 2 line had this as 90% of the calls coming in on my land lines were unsolicited garbage even though I made sure both were on "the do not call list." So simple to use as you can manually enter numbers or when a bogus call comes in just hit the dedicated call block button and enjoy your privacy. I also use the call reject function to ignore anyone calling with a blocked or unidentified number. If you don't want me to know your number I have no interest in talking to you. This system is excellent and I give it 5 stars. The refurbished unit with 6 cordless handsets is simply a bargain. Great job Panasonic for thinking out of the box with this design.

We had a Panasonic phone system with six handsets for many years and it worked perfectly until the buttons on the handsets got spongy and it was time to get something new. I bought this set because it had the same number of handsets as our original but it's been a huge disappointment. The sound quality is poor no matter how high the volume is set and it's embarrassing to have to ask people to repeat what they are saying so often. Also disappointing is the way new caller's phone numbers are stored on the Caller ID. If I want to return their call, I have to edit in a 1- before the number or get an error message. Our old system did that automatically. And lastly, the voicemail button blinks but doesn't signal that a message is waiting. My husband wants to dump this system and bring back our old one and I can't blame him.
