These worked perfect on the first try!!
These worked great for me, and I got a good set of trays the first try. I initially bought the Shine Whitening with Zero Peroxide that came with a set of trays. I had never tried whitening my teeth before, and the directions that came with the kit were not very good. This set looked pretty deformed. Once the plastic got stuck together, there was no getting it apart.I ordered this set to give it another shot, and got a good set of trays on the first try. I filled a glass measuring cup with water, and put it into the microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes until it was boiling. Then I held the first tray into the boiling water for 6-8 seconds until it was just starting to soften. I let the excess water run off of it and put into my mouth on the bottom teeth being careful that it went over the teeth. Then I sucked in my cheeks with my mouth closed. This pulled the tray up to my teeth. Then I used my fingers to make sure that the tray was formed to my teeth, took it out of my mouth, and rinsed it with cold water.I did the same thing with the second tray without re-boiling the water, and put it on my upper teeth following the same procedure. Again, I had a perfect tray. I think the problems happen when the trays are left too long in the hot water. This will make them too soft and limp. If you try to shake off the excess water, the soft plastic will stick together and you will never get it apart - especially if you got it too soft.In summary, to get perfect trays the first time, do one at a time, don't leave them in the hot water too long, don't shake off excess water (let it run off), and suck in your cheeks to pull the forms close to your teeth.

Waste of money
Absolutely worthless, does not fit around teeth it is more like a mouthguard and not good for teeth whitening. Way too thick and extremely uncomfortable.

great price/ works well
I'm currently using teeth straightening aligners and can no longer use the $500 bleaching trays from my dentist. I was looking for a low-cost alternative while my teeth are still shifting into place. these trays fit the bill. I was a little concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, but the tips the other reviewers left were spot on. I didn't boil my water, I just put a coffee mug with water in the microwave for two minutes and then held the first tray in the water until it began to droop and curl (around the count of 15) I placed the first tray in my mouth and sucked in my cheeks, the tray molded to my teeth perfectly. once the trays cooled, I put my bleaching gel in as usual and I could feel the gel start to bubble and work right away. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Uncomfortable moldings
I read the instructions step by step but still the mold doesn't fit right and when I put the liquid brightener inside is too wide for it to when is the front and the back of your teeth but the liquor whitener does whiten your teeth

Good trays
I have had some bad experiences with trying to mold my own trays but I think I finally got the hang of it with these. As another reviewer said, it's important not to bring the water to a full boil. I put the temperature at medium and wait for the very tiny bubbles to appear. Then you can put the tray in as instructed and you can actually see it as it gets soft, the arms of the tray will start to come together and the color goes very clear. Once you see this, pull it out and put into your mouth as directed. Don't be discouraged if you repeat the process a couple of times to really get a good mold. Its better than overheating the tray and having to throw it away because it folds in on itself.

These trays are great but DO NOT BOIL THEM.
They work perfectly, if you do it right. These trays are made from a very soft, pliable material. When dipped in water that is at a rolling or near rolling boil the tray will almost immediately shrivel, rendering it useless. I followed the instructions of several previous reviewers who essentially said: Fill a glass quart measuring cup with water and put it in the microwave for about two or three minutes, depending on the strength of your microwave - *remember - hot, not boiling water.* Dip one tray into the hot water for about six seconds (don't over do it) then put it in your mouth and kind of vacuum seal it around your teeth by sucking the air from between the tray and your teeth. If the tray does not get quite as tight as you like, dip it in the hot water again, for a couple more seconds, and repeat. This works for the upper and lower trays. Honestly, my first attempt at fitting the trays was not great - not terrible either - but not great so I had to give it a second try. The second set was perfect. When I helped my husband with his set, it was perfect the first time. I was very happy to have five pairs of trays - an extra for practice. I have been using these with, Watts Power Deep Stain 36% Whitening Gel, followed by, VitaBrites Remineralization Gel and am absolutely thrilled with the results - for myself and my husband. For nice, white, healthy looking teeth, the price is outstanding!

Enough for an entire family!!! Or a lifetime supply!!! Lol!
Wow, this is like a lifetime supply! I bought a bleaching kit a year and a half ago and still have syringes left, so my husband wanted to bleach his teeth as well. I took a chance on these because they were inexpensive and I figured if we messed up one there were so many others to get it right. Well, if you follow the instructions, it's super easy. We boiled the water in a measuring cup in the microwave. Then dipped the tray in the water for a few seconds, removed it, shook it off and put it in his mouth and sucked on it. Then used his fingers to press it tight against all his teeth. Then you can trim the tab off and excess above the teeth.TIPS: Trim slowly, taking off a small bit each time. You can always remove more. I trim the back teeth portion off because I don't bleach my back teeth and this helps with the gag reflex. Less time in the hot water is better, you can always re-dip it if you need it softer. However, if you leave it in even a second too long it will collapse.I hope this info helps.
