I tried a less-expensive brand and was unimpressed with it. Solgar has always sold me high quality vitamins and supplements, so I went ahead and paid the price for their B3 Niacin. Let me tell you what! This is the niacin that turns you as red as if you had an all-over sunburn and stings like heck! I had to cut the dose in half, and I still get the blazing, sweating sunburn, but just not as bad. I have been taking it for one week on and then one week off, and there is a noticeable improvement in my arthritis. I can spend the entire morning staying busy on my feet and forget the pain, until around mid-afternoon. Nothing can delete the arthritis entirely, but this niacin sure does help.

If you cannot stand the flush, then take it prior to sleeping at night and you won't notice it. The flush takes within an hour to pass.

Normally I don’t like taking medicines. I was suggested this product from a friend to reduce my elevated total cholesterol level.It was one of the worst experiences of my life. In about 20 minutes after I took the first capsule I had this terrible prickling sensation all over my head. The sensation started on my ears and head and goes down my neck, my arms, my chest to my stomach and finally legs and feet. My skin turned fire red and itched. I tried to go outside a house to get fresh air and took off my clothes to a chilly fresh air. After about half an hour I felt better and got back to my house but start feeling shivering. I recovered after a while but felt like I would pass away. This company should seriously consider the so called temporarily side effects into WARNING. The rest of the bottle is in trash now. I don’t recommend to anyone

f your the type of person that craves that tingly sensation on your skin during an exercise THIS IS IT.. (I personally love it) It only takes one .. and right around 15 min. You will fill it start kicking in! It can get a little intense if you’ve never experienced it before. (If it does get to intense alcohol may or may not counter act it)

Been using this product for years. Increased my good cholesterol 50%. In my case, it sure beats using a statin.
