Perfect Utility Trailer Jack
Bought this to replace the old jack that was center mounted… this one is well built, simple to install (10 minutes or less) and the wheel and rotating design is a game changer. Once seated on the trailer ball, you only need to raise it about an inch off the ground and the easily pivot the jack so it is completely out of the way. It locks into place (up or down) very securely.Be sure to add grease via the zerk fitting near the top which should help it last a very long time. The only thing I’ve noticed is that it helps to put a bit of pressure on the wheel when you are cranking it to lower the wheel… otherwise Turing the crank handle clockwise might not actually move the shaft.

Easy to install. Smoother operation after lubricating everything per the manual
Installed this on my 18ft jon boat trailer. I had the same jack before that failed after 9 years. New jack rolls around the garage much easier. Disconnecting the tongue from my hitch ball is also much faster and smoother with new jack. I hope this one lasts at least 5 years. I will not wait 9 years again to replace it as it is very unsafe if the jack gives out. Torque spec for bolts is 25ft-lbs per the manual FYI.

Better than the Reese.
Reese has been making trailer equipment for a long time, I wanted to think that they were the best so that's what I bought a couple months ago for a trailer I got, but then this month I got another trailer and decided to try this wheel jack instead of the Reese ..... this particular wheel jack makes the Reese look like a toy. Very much the same technology but everything from bolts to nuts to spring's to metal thickness is better. Almost better enough for me to replace the Reese that I bought two months ago with this one. But I have to face it, I'm just too lazy to take the Reese off. When the trailer has full weight on this, the jack and the wheel do not go off angle to any significant degree the way the Reese does. The metal is probably the full 16th inch thicker. And you can tell. Anyway, so you're in luck that I have had the opportunity to try a Reese and this one. And I am coming back to tell you that this one is better than the Reese. No offense to Reese. But stop resting on your laurels.

Solid.
Hey, it's a trailer jack. But it is very well made. I made a 3-D CAD model of this and posted it on GrabCad (EJ10000101).

Great for the money, easy to install.
I purchased this for my popup camper and I believe you will not regret this purchase for the money. I'll address the most common complaints: (1) Bolts too long: Yes they are long, no problem for me because they are just pointing into the LP tank, I can see for boat trailers where you are climbing around the frame to load and unload that there would be a problem. There's a one-star post that says it's a 4-star ranking but folks only read 1-star posts that has some good suggestions. (2) Handle hangs down when jack is in up position. Actually, the way I mounted mine and the direction I have it going the handle points up, but up or down it stays in place if you totally retract the wheel and add the slightest amount of pressure, Even if pointed down there's plenty of clearance and it doesn't flop around. (3) Finally, loose and rattles, not stable. It's a $35 dollar jack with a pressed steel joint, it's plenty tight for my needs and works fine, don't expect ball-bearing performance from a pressed steel joint.

Easy to Install and Use
Easy to install and use. Didn’t need to be very familiar with this type of attachment and trailers to do it.

Good quality
This unit is on a small boat so weight was not a factor. The unit is well built and easy to install. I put it on a 3 inch frame but it looks like it will go up one size and down one. I just bought the boat and can't believe the last owner was so cheap not to install one. I have owned at least 10 boats and unless you are trying out for clown of the year you need one.The boat rolls around nice even in dirt with the caster size. I am not sure on the gauge of metal put it is 3 times what my boat needs. It has a nice finish and it locks securely in place when going down the road. If you have a big double axle boat you might want to go to some real heavy duty lander, but this one is pretty solid.
