Plasticolor Star Wars Darth Vader Hitch Cover, Hitch Covers by Plasticolor (002282R01)

Ever since I installed the Plasticolor Darth Vader hitch cover on my antimatter blue Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat, the Dark Side has never looked so stylish. Whether I'm cruising through hyperspace (or just the grocery store parking lot), Vader stands guard with that iconic helmet of brooding menace and mysterious charm. It’s like my truck has a Sith Lord as a bouncer.The fit is perfect, installation was a breeze, and it draws admiring nods from fellow Jedi and Sith alike. The only chink in the armor? The locking pin developed a few tiny rust spots after braving the frozen tundras of Hoth (aka my local winter roads). But hey, even the Death Star had a flaw, right?Overall, this hitch cover is a must-have for any Ford-driving Star Wars fan looking to embrace the Dark Side in style. 10/10 would serve the Empire again.

This Vader hitch cover looks and feels substantial. Super easy to install and like some other reviews mention, there is in fact a 1/2" gap between the back of the cover and the end of your hitch opening once installed (the last set of holes aren't positioned correctly to allow enough room for the pin to installed propertly), so unfortunately, the hitch cover doesn't sit flush the hitch opening. A small detail, but should be noted. Lastly, you'll need to get yourself a locking hitch pin and someone would for sure snap this up. Overall, a decent value for less than a Jackson.

I gave it only 4 stars for installation due to the fact it did not give the pin to hold it in place. I had to buy this separately. I was expecting it to all be there to install.

The brackets supplied did not line up with the 5/8 hole in my 2 in receiver hitch, which a U-Haul unit. It does line up with the 1/2 hole in my hitch. This necessitates having two hitch pins since the ball hitch mount has a 5/8 hole. There are at least 2 versions of a hitch lock available on Amazon that have both the 5/8 and 1/2 pins and they use the same lock. If I used the 5/8 holes the cover sticks out about .25 inch from the end of the receiver hitch. I didn't want to have a gap that might give someone a way to pry the Darth Vader cover off of my vehicle, because of what the hitch cover is. I have not had this problem with other hitch covers in the same hitch.

buen tamaño, aspecto y muy fácil instalación

This was literally the only Vader truck hitch online I could find. It is metal and laser cut out....I did add a layer of clear epoxy over it for paint protection....I have no idea if it would have held up or not. I just didn't want to take the chance of it getting ruined. So that is nothing against the product itself. I would definately buy another as a gift. The only thing cooler on my new truck is my Ricky Bobby license plate cover!

It's not a snug fit and it just kinda sags in place, putting it at a slight downward angle, which has the potential of jiggling around and bouncing up and scratching the bumper, but still looks cool. Might find or make a shim to hold it in place better, but wish it came with such a thing.
