Great for tap lights.
I had several tap lights I got from a thrift store. The bulbs were okay, but really dim for inside of a closet. These brightened things up considerably, and the batteries have lasted nearly six months with daily use.

Cool, just cool.
Every so often the chance Amazon find is such a cool thing. I ran into these and bought a pack. They allowed me to update some flashlights I had on hand. They're nice and bright and it feels really good to make something that I have more useful.. I'll see how the only last. Again, fun little find.

Not the brightest but better than incandescent
Not the brightest but better than the incandescent bulb. The light given is much more consistent over the area compared to the incandescent bulb.

Will not work on 3v
I bought these for an old slide viewer. I made sure that I had fresh batteries in the device and was so sad that the 3v from the batteries would not fire the lights. I tried the bulbs with a six volt battery and they lit nicely. But the six volt battery would not work in the slide viewer.Very disappointed that the promised performance failed.

Dimmer that the original incandescent bulb
The led were bought to replace a regular incandescent flashlight bulb installed on a small portable light box. I was very disappointed that it was dimmer than the old bulb. It is certainly not nearly as bright as the stated 140 lumen value. I gave it a 2-star rating, but decide that I should give it one more star because the even lighting it creates. Wish it was brighter!
