Tvilum Desk with 4 Drawers, Black Woodgrain

There are a lot of detailed reviews about the difficulty of assembling the desk. One thing we did was lay out all the hardware on a tray and that really helped.Here's one other detail that may help others who decide to buy it. The modesty panel in the back is piece "ST." Note that the vertical side of the desk on the right side is thicker than the vertical side of the desk on the inside left (meaning the inside of the stack of drawers next to where your legs will go when you sit down).Put piece ST so that the bolt hole for the right side of the desk is closer to the edge of ST than the opposite side since on the opposite side the vertical piece is thinner. The manufacturer wanted to keep the bolts the same length, and that was the way to do it. This was actually the toughest part of the assembly and confused us for a long time because just eyeing it, we didn't notice that the one bolt hole was closer to the edge of the modesty panel than the other one. We had to measure it to realize that. The bolts wouldn't firmly attach until you get the placement of ST right.We are glad we bought the desk. It's sturdy and just the right size for the space we have. I like the stack of drawers on the left so that I can put my computer mouse on the right side of the laptop and lay my spreadsheet that I need to edit to the left of the laptop.I bought a black plastic shelf that works well with the desk to give extra space for a desk lamp and my third picture shows the desk with the shelf on it. Please pay attention that the shelf was a separate purchase.

Now idk why everyone is hating this desk. It’s nice. It’s great especially since I’m starting school back up soon. Yes there are a few nicks but either a it was the factory, delivery, or the person who builds it fault. B. It’s nice to do work on so no problem there. In summary other then the few nicks it’s an excellent desk. They are barely noticeable and had no problem (didn’t need replacement pieces and it all fits. Just habe to play around like so it lines up good is all). And I help build things in my college major so I know how these things go in a way. Just please con oder This desk. I had like 1 Nick that might wem my fault moving it and had like 2 tiny nicks that I can’t even see anymore bc of the shelves. So yes the price is totally worth getting this desk. Everyone wants a new desk now and this works great especially if you look at IKEA they are sold out. This desk is about the same price o would’ve paid at IKEA so yeah. I would recommend this desk. Just because a few nicks that are barely noticeable doesn’t mean 1 Star. I’m giving it 5 Because like a nick really you hate it just because of a tiny nick. I get it if it’s damaged and need a new one but a tiny nick. Really. I know this is long but it’s just helping you to not believe every review you see with 1 nick making it 1 Star. It’s worth it otherwise. Starting school and needed more room for projects and school work and it’s totally worth it for the space. Theres enough room for all my school supplies plus some more room. (In the shelves) I have it set to the first so they don’t open as much but they still open enough for me) and I habe 4 books on the little shelf and they are totally fine. So please this desk is totally worth it since there are no other desks.

I needed a desk and I wanted something sturdy but still on the smaller side. There was no damage on any of the pieces when removed from the packaging.It was fairly easy to assemble, but it did take me a little while since I was doing it by myself. The only difficult part about putting it together is that the back piece has to be in the perfect position for the top to fit squarely.I did not like how the drawers didn't seem to come out as far as they could when the drawer guides were installed as directed. I simply drilled new holes for the guides so the drawers would come out as far as I wanted.Once put together, the desk feels very sturdy, yet it is easy to move on a wood floor. The drawers open and close easily, and the drawer guides are very smooth.I have noticed on one drawer the front of the drawer is coming loose when I open it. I am assuming that was a fault of mine during the installation, and not a problem with the manufacturing. It can easily be fixed with a bit of glue.Overall, I am very pleased with this desk. It looks great in the room and I love having access to everything I need while working on my computer.

I put the desk together by myself in 2-1/2 hours without any issues. 2 areas were damaged, it comes with black stickers so I was able to cover the damaged corner with them. The drawers only come out half way & this is my biggest complaint. I thought I assembled the rods for them wrong so I took it off & put it the other way only to find that I assembled it right as the directions said. The drawers situation makes me want to bring the desk to the dumpster. If I would have know this I would have bought something else. Drawers are 13” and open 7”, if they were to open 3” more I would be happy.

This product evidently doesn’t come with proper pieces because me and my husband followed the instructions step by step and we got to the part where you put the long bolts into it and tighten the round heads to fasten the hole thing together . Well the parts are not long enough to each the lock nuts to to tighten it together none of the 4 pieces and they’re all the same size we’ve looked over it twice 3xs and it’s all right that the bolts it came with are not . So know we can’t put the rest of this product together it’s sitting here in pieces this is the most bull crap I’ve ever gotten I’m so beyond mad I paid 100+ $ and know have try to figure out a way to improvise to make it work . This is by far by far these worst I’ve ever bought in my life . Please avoid this product you can’t assemble it there’s no way to because the pieces sent or the predrilled holes do not work . I wish I could go back in time and never by this 100$ nightmare . Please please do not buy.
