Excellent product for removing carbon
I highly recommend this product for removing stubborn carbon from firearms. Of all the products I've tired, this product does the best job of removing stubborn carbon build-up in gun barrels, AR-15 star chamber, and BCG's. When using this product you need to shake it up well before application.

An excellent mechanical approach to metal fouling removal
I had been using an ammonia based solvent to remove copper fouling from a rifle barrel. I applied/wiped it out per instructions twice a day (morning and before bed). While progress was being made, I was going through way too many patches. I decided to give this stuff a try. After one cycle of cleaning the barrel was copper free (to the naked eye with a light through the barrel anyway). It's a different procedure as it removes fouling mechanically instead of chemically. It's kind of like when cockroaches develop a resistance to chemicals (here in Texas they grab the can and spray you with the Raid). While the chemicals may not be effective, a physical attack with Diatomaceous Earth will always work. This stuff is the diatomaceous earth of gun cleaning. Having a bottle of rem-oil on hand is recommended. You'll also need to have the appropriate sized bronze brush. It involves putting an oiled brush through the barrel (wrapped on the brush--breech to muzzle). Putting a dry patch on the brush and running it through the barrel (wrapped on the brush breech to muzzle) until it is 1/2 way out of the muzzle. Then that patch needs to be coated in the (shake the bottle well) solution. The patch is then run back and forth a total of 10 times. A lightly oiled patch, on the brush, is run through the barrel. Finally, 3-4 dry patches are run through the barrel.

Unique product for cleaning your barrel
Been using this product since it first became available from a local source before being bought by Remington. Try this, run a new bore patch wrapped around a copper brush through your barrel and check the cleanliness. Now put some Bore-X cleaner on the bore patch so it completely encircles (at least 1/4 of the top of the patch) and then run it through again. You will be amazed at the amount of stuff that is still in your barrel, even if you thought it was clean. Scrub it back and forth several times with the Bore-X and then run a clean patch through it again. The nice part about using the patch, it will expand slightly into the grooves and not just clean the lands, like when you just use a brush and some solvent.

JB Bore Cleaning Compound Equivivelent
This bore cleaning compound has very fine non-binding abrasive particles suspended in liquid. It is a very similar product as J-B Non-Embedding Bore Cleaning Compound. JB is in paste form and this one is in liquid form. This compound has very fine abrasive particles suspended in liquid. So this product CAN eat away bore rifling if used frequently and rigorously. This cleaning compound should only be used if your rifle looses accuracy and all other means of cleaning the bore have failed.New airgun must go through a tin or two of pellets before the bore is smooth and accurate. Instead of waiting for that long I personally use this compound to "break" the barrel of new airguns. Use little bit of compound on a brass brush and go through the bore for about 20 strokes. Be sure that cleaning rod does not rub against the bore. Be sure to clean from breech side and not from muzzle. Then clean the bore dry with lots of patches. Be sure to remove all the compound out of the barrel otherwise it will keep eating the bore.I don't mean to scare you but make sure you respect the power of this product.
