Netum C990
There are three models available but I went C990. Don't have the scanner with me hence no picture of the actual device, but there's the box!We have numerous of other brands of full size barcode readers at work. From Datalogic Bluetooth scanners, to wired Motorola Scanners. Most have their own querks. We've only recently started using barcodes regularly and the limitations of our current readers are starting to have an impact. The C990 works we've found to work exceptionally well. If being used in Bluetooth the device pairs easily. Connect time from power on is about 3 seconds.Fits in the hand really nicely, even if it does look like it's something which really shouldn't be in a work environment.USB-C is a nice touch. Not really much to say on that.Variations between were the aim light goes and what it scanned is pretty good, I've encountered alot of others which completely get the wrong barcode. It's had a few mis-reads however somewhat understandable due to the nature that alot of our barcodes are close together - and it's been alot better than one of our full sized readers.Settings wise seems pretty good and customisable however the only thing we're really used so far is the volume settings. Which can be muted entirely. However there is a vibration motor which is pretty loud and doesn't appear to be able to be switched off if required.Nice device. Works well. Recommend. From the research I did the main difference between the C990 and C750 is the size of the barcode which can be read and that the C990 recognises more symbologies.Spec sheets and manuals can be found on the web address on the side of the box as shown in the picture. (Products > Barcode Scanner > Handheld Scanner > C series)Reason it got 4 stars was because of my first impressions. When I opened the box the packaging hadn't held it in the box very well. Not really what you expect at £99. So I went into the set up with a very negative mind set, but it really is a good bit of kit.
