Used before! Will not burn plants! New azalea plants approx three gallons each planted a year ago needed a boost! Product has really turned plants from yellowing and slowed growth into greener leaves and more robust appearance in just one week!! A bit earthy smell versus say a 10-10-10 fertilizer, but it goes away and plants respond well! One four lb bag covered my 12 small azaleas that were planted a year ago!

My azaleas love this, grew very nicely the year after adding this.

Please see the before and after pictures. Please note, I didn’t know I was supposed to fertilize the rhododendrons frequently. The last few years it barely bloomed. Now, well the results speak for themselves!!

Oh the smell... like being in a chicken house. Whew it is a very fowl odor.

I'm sure that this is great Azalea fertilizer. I'm also sure it's made for flower beds and outside gardens. My use was for container azaleas on the back patio however. The problem I have in an outdoor sitting area is the smell. Not a faint smell but one that stinks so bad I can smell it when I open the back door heading towards the patio 20 feet away. I have smelled better things in a pig pen and chicken yard, that's some powerful stench coming from this fertilizer with just a little bit used. I'm going to have to remove it somehow because it is that bad. I'm not even sure I would want this in flower beds in front of the house because I'm sure it could be smelled from the street. Although unusable for my use I at least gave it three stars because something that stinks that bad has to work right?
