Its not 1/4 inch thick. it’s 1/8. deceptive?

This mat is 1/4 inch thick as stated. It folds to half an inch when folded down the middle and about 3.5 inches tall when totally folded. I use it for yoga travel when I teach and appreciate the size and weight.
