So I've been buying 'bourbon' and smoked items for my husband to try, but with coffees, he likes rich and dar, the strongest French roast around.According to Charles Maurice de Talleyrand- Périgord, coffee is “Black as the devil, hot as hell, pure as an angel and sweet as love”. My husband would agree.I tried one and it had a chemical flavor. The makers wouldn't tell me how it was 'smoked'. This is much better. It smells like liquor and leaves an almost butterscotch taste on the back of the tongue.I liked it enough to make it a 'subscibe and save' choice.

This is a great bourbon roast. I just wish it was more of a medium/dark roast. Then I would be in heaven!

I’ve always loved bourbon barrel coffees. The taste and aroma the barrel imparts on this coffee is unlike anything else. Especially when you breathe out and have the aftertaste of bourbon. This one was very good, but not as strong in flavor and aroma as bourbon barrel coffees I’ve had. I didn’t have to search for it, but it did not greet me at the door.

I love the flavor of the bourbon barrel-stored coffee beans. Clean, quality taste with a hint of Irish Cream, without the alcohol buzz. The package says the beans are handled to remove impurities. I believe it. A little more spendy than some brands. Worth the cost. Try it for a special occasion. Highly recommended.

I am not sure what flavor this is trying for but they missed. Maybe coffee flavor should just remain coffee flavor? This is way over priced and smells like it was scaped from a barn floor. There's dried out beans that made a horrendous loud noise while grinding them. They weren't fully roasted perhaps and still green culivars. Not good at all.

Just my opinion, this is just a normal coffee, not much different than the ones I bought in Costco. The price is more expensive.I would say not a very good value.

My boyfriend is all about bourbon barrel aged anything and wanted to try this. He didn’t love the flavor and honestly I could smell it all around the house when he made his coffee and it didn’t smell the greatest. I like to imagine my house smells like a Folgers commercial and this didn’t do that for me. It was drinkable, if only because I had no other coffee to choose from. I don’t like being so negative but that’s my two cents.

Great gift for the bourbon and coffee lover in your life! Cute packaging with a good price point. You can definitely smell the bourbon before you even open it! The flavor is strong and potent so you might want to mix it with regular coffee to cut it down a little (plus it lasts longer).
