I have another area in my home in which I have to remodel in the future and will need this for code. I would buy again. I didn't look but I would prefer to buy this is in a 29 oz tube. This runs out fast because you are using it everywhere. I was concerned about it sagging if you gun a lot in one space and found no issue at all.

There are a handful of fire caulks out there... most red... and a few years ago some of the red were effectively de-certified for use with CPVC. The CPVC pipe manufacturers were changing their pipe formulations faster than the fire caulk companies could get them tested. In light of this, 3m developed this product to work with the new and old formulations. I believe the product loses just a bit of the "robustness" of the red version, but the yellow will pass all necessary codes, and is approved for use (ie, won't cause breakdown or a chemical reaction) with CPVC installations.

This is EXTREMELY HARD to get out of the tube! I will not purchase again.

Used it to seal some old holes in between while I was refinishing the wood floor. It’s the same price as the hardware store with prime delivery, you can’t beat it if you don’t want to take the trip yourself.
