24V 40VA Thermostat and Doorbell Transformer, Power Supply Compatible with Nest, Ecobee, Sensi and Honeywell Thermostat, Nest Hello Doorbell and All Versions of Ring Doorbell

My setup is a Nest Battery Doorbell with a permanent wired connection. I also have a mechanical door chime. I run the Nest with max quality video and max sensitivity, i.e. max power usage. This transformer provides sufficient power for doorbell operation and to charge the battery.

When it comes to wattage, or Volt amps my philosophy is quite simple; always get more than you need. 40VA seems to be the maximum rating for 24V transformers on Amazon.I can report 100% success and trouble-free operation with the Nest Doorbell wired edition. The chime itself is punchy and loud and can easily be heard throughout the whole house.This is the one you want.

Works like a charm, solved my intermittent power issues with my multiple thermostats and smart doorbell, which had been sporadically restarting or cutting out. Have not had any reliability issues and has been rock solid in the week since I installed this power transformer.

I am not in the habit of giving bad reviews, the product is working for me, I have it connected to a Ring video doorbell, but it is not supposed to exceed 24 volts, normally it is at 29 and does not go down from there, one day the Ring me alerted that it was receiving 37 volts. After that it stays at 29.

The thermostat transformer failed on my swim pool heater. OEM was rated at 24 volts 30VA so this 40 VA replacement is more robust. OEM replacement range from $50-100 on line. The form factor on this replacement was different than factory but I fabricated a sheet metal piece to mount in original location. It was a bargain to spend less than $20 and pool heater now ignites the burner as before.

After buying multiple transformers from Lowes and Home Depot that either didn’t work at all or didn’t provide enough power for my Ring camera, we decided to give this one from Amazon a try— and it worked perfectly! Provides enough power for a Ring 2 video doorbell and was easy to set up!

I bought this transformer to power 2 Lorex WiFi doorbells. They were wired in parallel and do work. However, I have been working with the Lorex technical group to resolve a feature that is not working on one of the doorbells. It does not generate an audible alarm based on motion. The other one does. This morning a tech said that my VOM reading of 28 VAC was above their 24 VAC upper limits, 4 above the device 24 VAC specs also, and that is my problem. Thus, I must conclude that the manufacturing quality standards for this product are sub par.

Been running this for over 3 months now and its working perfectly. No hum noise at all.
