Overland Vehicle Systems 18039909 Nomadic Awning 4.5 Foot with Black Cover

I recently purchased the Overland Vehicle Systems 4.5 Foot Nomadic Roof Rack Vehicle 600D Poly Cotton Awning with Aluminum Frame and Weatherproof Storage Cover, and let me tell you, it's like having a portable mansion on top of my car! The awning is so big that I could probably fit my entire family under it, and the aluminum frame is so sturdy that I'm pretty sure it could withstand a hurricane. The 600D poly cotton material is so soft that I want to use it as a blanket, but I won't because that would be weird. The weatherproof storage cover is like a superhero cape for my awning, protecting it from rain, snow, and even bird poop. The only downside is that my car now looks like a giant turtle with a shell on top, but that's a small price to pay for the awesomeness that is the Overland Vehicle Systems 4.5 Foot Nomadic Roof Rack Vehicle 600D Poly Cotton Awning with Aluminum Frame and Weatherproof Storage Cover. If you want to feel like a king or queen of the road, this is the way to go. Just be prepared for jealous stares from other drivers who wish they had a portable mansion on top of their car too.

I haven't taken it on the road yet but I did deploy it in the driveway. The only kink so far is rolling it up evenly. But it does roll up tightly and fits back in. It always seems hard to get it perfect, "from the factory." It's going to come in handy with upcoming camping and road trips!

Easy to install. Works great.

I gave 3 stars for pricing, removed one star for no installation manual and another for included useless bracket. The setup is flimsy when setting up the two rear legs. What needs to be seen is how long it will last. Also, brackets for this small awning will cost more than the awning itself!!!I contacted Overland and advised them to not ship their products without an installation manual.

I finally used this awning a few weeks ago and it worked out pretty well. It is tricky to setup with one person, and I wish it was retractable but I was able to get it up and down. It was great in the rain however the water started to pool in the middle of the awning so I had to keep pushing the water up to drain even though the awning was slanted for runoff.

So far nothing to dislike, it held up great so far

Just installed. It seems good. We'll recheck in a year.
