Like it. Staying cool in summer. Also heals sprained muscles.
A good product. Large size; covers my lower neck and down to inner shoulder muscles. I use for cold/ice.Its a larger size, so; it takes a little while out of the freezer to soften up, be flexible.A positive; large size (or the material?); seems to keep the 'cold-ice' longer.Update May 13, 2017; Using it for a while and still good.In summer; I sleep with 2 under my sheet; keeps away some of those hot flashes in humid weather.UPDATE June 13, 2017; A major reason I bought these is; In 2016 I was trapped in a toxic building. Some type poison acid... in the air caused by new owners. I had to move but had to stay for months while searching for new apartment, moving boxes. My skin was injured by the acid air. Doctor says my sweat gland nerves injured. After being in new home for 5 months; my skin and nerves are slowly repairing. At the old apartment I had a bad experience with hives form the acid air, mainly in hot weather. Doctor said the toxin in air increases in hot humid weather and my skin injury, sweat gland nerves injury activated hives when my skin gets too hot. Hot flashes increase the heat.In new apartment; I have only had a little skin reaction when it gets hot. The ice packs cool the skin, prevents hives. If I get a hive; the ice pack cools the skin and stops the hives; it melts away. Staying away from towels, sheets that are cleaned by linen services (toxic chemicals!) also helps.Few more months and skin will be healed. Ice packs really help!!!

Excellent buy! A real pain reliever!!
UPDATE: It's now 2024 and these packs have lasted about four years which is outstanding! I’ve recently ordered a new set because the original sets I have, somehow have become a bit thinner (no leaking!) while still useful. Even so — four years for ice packs is fantasic and I still recommend them!I've had two sets of these Thrive ice packs over a year — bought my first pair in February, 2020, then again in May 2020. None have yet to leak at all! I'm using them all the time — knees, back, etc. They are vastly superior to the “other” name brand. The original brand (Ace?) would start leaking after just a few months, if that — I would put them in ziplock bags, but they would get thinner and slimier.. These Thrive ice packs have retained their size and fullness. Yes they freeze hard when left in freezer, but shouldn't they be? As they are being used, they soften up and become flexible. I've used them many times, and they are still in excellent condition.

Great For Helping With Hip Surgery Recovery
My wife recently had a hip replacement. These gel packs freeze up but are still flexible. Because of their slim shape they easily fit in her sweat pants pocket right along where her surgery was, helping to provide her with some relief from pain. She could also lay on the pads and due to their slim shape they weren't uncomfortable for her. Since they come as a two pack, by the time one thaws out you still have the other one in the freezer and available to use. I highly recommend these gel packs.

Fits easily in fridge and freezes quickly
I got this for injuries but it is hard to form it to certain parts of the body due to its stiffness. But it freezes super quickly and is great quality. I love the texture of it because it doesn’t get too cold.

They work and help to relieve pain
My wife had bilateral knee replacements last week. Since then, we have struggled with cool water basins with built-in pumps, ice bags, and ice/alcohol slushies to keep on her new knees to keep the swelling at bay. The cool water basins required large quantities of ice in order to make cool water and we soon ran out of ice in our fridge. Made one trip to the grocery to buy additional ice. Ice bags were tried next and worked good, but more ice was again needed to be purchased. The ice maker just couldn't keep up with the demand. The ice slushy mix should have worked, but one of the bags leaked, and now the freezer smells of alcohol and is coated with the mixture. I found these gel ice packs on Amazon and thought they would be a better alternative than what I had tried thus far.Well, they worked GREAT! Put them in the freezer for one hour after arrival, and, voila, great, flexible and cold, packs for her new knees. They recommend using for only fifteen minutes at a time and we are following this recommendation. These do get quite cold and longer times on the skin surface might not be a good idea. They also recommend using a towel between the skin surface and the compress. Do this too.All and all, this is a good product. It is reusable. It saves on water and ice usage and trips to the grocery to purchase more ice. Can be used hot (after micro-waving) or cold. Either way, I think they will provide relief to pain in the body caused by swelling or strained muscles.

Best ice packs ever. Stays cold longer than any others I have used.
These are amazing. Freeze fast and stay cold double the normal time. They have a rugged coating that feels like it will outlast me. I am disabled with chronic pain and these are a daily life saver. They help me so much. No other ice packs compares. I have tried almost every one possible until I found these. I tried a couple others even after, but returned them. I give these to family now when they need ice packs. These have won a life long fan. Now I will say, I do not like the ceramic beads types and Thrive does make those too. I DO NOT like those type. This is a gel pad that stay cold.I love this company now. Seriously love them and thank them for creating these.
