My old craftsman had worn out,, this was a good deal for what I needed,

Not as advertised and not worth the cost
This is not what is described in the ad. First there is no Heat treated carbon steel in the item except possibly for the spring mechanism. It is all plastic. But the real problem is there are NO magnets as advertised! Don't buy; get an Irwin or Starrett.
