this leash is very lightweight definitely easy to retract. My Chi is easily startled by her leash because she is so tiny so this was excellent for her.

This leash is perfect for my cat! We previously had a traditional, 6-foot leash but were looking for something longer and came across this. Works well for taking our cat out on a stroll, and love the ability to lock or unlock the leash.

It is just what I wanted great product

I would have given five stars except the handle was soooo small. I bought this because I still have one I bought years ago by this manufacturer and it still works. The old one is 16 ft and I wanted a 10 ft one that is more suitable for city walking. The mechanisms on the new leash work more smoothly than on the older leash. The problem is how small the hand hold is. I have a very small hand and can just barely get my four fingers in. Don’t buy the extra small unless you have child size hands.

We bought our first Flexi brand retractable dog leashes in the 1990's and they lasted for many years. When we had to purchase new ones, we discovered not all retractable leashes are created equally. These are the leashes you want, yes they are a bit more expensive than the knock offs, but these are the people that invented the retractable leash, and it shows. I will never buy another brand of retractable leash!
