Works for me!
Liked that it has a more than adequate depth of field for detail carving from a distance. I also don't worry much about being covered or breathing dust particles. Another nice feature is an added piece to change the mount from fixed to removable mount. A highly adaptable tool!

I'm a believer!
Every time I would go to the dentist and see them wear specs like this, I knew I could put them to good use in the shop. The official medical versions from medical suppliers are criminally expensive. For about $30 on Amazon I thought I would give these a try and am I glad I did.First, you have to take some time to get them dialed in. I am old and need strong glasses, so I am clipping them to my own eyeglasses, which is working fine, depending on the style of glasses you use to mount them. The spacing and direction of the lenses has to be spot-on, otherwise your eyes will strain and you won't use them. Take a few minutes and get the sight picture perfect from both eyes on the exact point of magnification.Next, you have to be aware that the optimal focal point is remarkable far from your face - like 18 inches. It's kind of weird to have something that far away be magnified that much. Because the distance is far, you really have to hold your head still and steady since you are highly magnifying a very small spot from pretty far away.My optimal use for these is drilling very small sub-mm holes in PCBs on my drill press. Since the magnification point is so far away I do not have to get my nose right up in the drill to precisely position the workpiece and drill like I used to. They may not be for everyone, but if you have a use case like mine, they are a great addition to the arsenal in the shop.

Don’t forget your light
Great quality. Please get a light compatible for these if you plan to use them.

Not as good as advertised
It might depend upon the person, but my husband didn't like them. He ordered a different kind that had "different strengths" of lens that come in a case. The head piece also has an LED light on it.

Received the wrong working distance but otherwise nice.
Ordered these specifically for the longer 440-540 mm working distance and received 420 mm ones, so I returned them. The flip-up mechanism was smooth and they felt really good for the price. If I had a way to make sure I received the right working distance, I might have ordered a new pair.

Gunsmithing and Machining, works great!
I understand the focal distance isn't correct for dental hygene, but is perfect for working on small parts. I used them in the shop gunsmithing and machining, and probably would work really well for small hobby work or painting warhammer 40k figurines. I do recommend them!

2.5 loupes
So... I am a fellowship trained hand surgeon. I've used the same brand name pair of loupes for about 20 years. They took some abuse and finally lost a focusing lens from left eye last week. Needed to replace them pretty quickly, so did an online search finding these as an option. Decided to give them a try. Super impressed right out of the box, light weight, easy to adjust and match my DFV loupes for focusing and field of view. Actually going to order 3 more sets so I don't have to carry a single pair to the different hospitals I serve. No lie, I started laughing when I first put these on, as they just worked so well... thanks
