Works like the original
I was having trouble finding a battery to fit my Alphaworks snow thrower. Other batteries were slightly too large so they didn’t fit. This battery fit perfectly. I charged it overnight and I used it to clear my sidewalk and walkway. I worked constantly for about 20 minutes before the battery needed a new charge.

It was very handy for Snow removal worked as advertised

Charge batteries well and just do sections. Machine works great!
Machine works excellent and really dethatches the dead grass very well. Only the batteries die out too soon for the area that needs coverage. I have to work on sections at a time.

Convenient
I prefer to use my electric snow shovel more than my snow blower. Now I can use it longer because I now have 3 batteries that I can interchange. So happy they sell the batteries separately.

Great backup battery for Alphaworks snow thrower
Looks and works exactly like the original battery that came with the Alphaworks snow thrower. Thank you for making this product available!

1 is good; 2 is better
This was purchased AFTER I received one which came with the snow throwing unit purchased previously. In hindsight I should have thought ahead and purchased a back-up battery to prevent the aggravation of losing power from the one battery I had. Fortunately, the recharge process is easy (although takes time) and I finished the job in a fair amount of time. The duration of the battery life is ok at best. However, I have no other battery unit to compare this with, but suffice to say, the battery seemed to hold power for awhile but once the unit displayed less than three green lights (indicating power level ) it seemed to lose juice quickly. One thing to keep in mind, the battery will lose power faster if using it to power a shovel through snow more than 4" deep (particularly if the snow is wet). I found that by using the shovel to cut through the top layer first, then cut through the remaining snow the battery lasted longer and I was able to mostly complete the job in little time. [The "job" consisted of clearing 6-8" of snow from a large deck and front walk]. I had to recharge the battery before completing the job initially.I decided to purchase the second battery right after attempting to clear the snow from the deck and front walk using just the one battery that came with the shovel. I quickly realized that would not be effective, and was able to purchase the second battery. Reading comments from others it seems that the battery is difficult to get, but a little research online shows this is available (at least at this writing) through the company's website. Now, having TWO batteries on hand, I easily complete the task of removing snow from my large deck and front walk. I even have extra battery power to clear a path from my driveway to my shed that I used to clear with my snowblower (although it takes longer and is something I only did once just to try and will not repeat for obvious reasons...width of clearance wasn't as effective in the time it took to complete for example!).The battery is easily recharged by simply plugging the power unit into the battery itself. Full charge took a couple hours and I now keep both units fully charged in anticipation of the next snow fall.
