Not fit for purpose.
These are pointless masks. P3 is supposed to be the highest grade of particulate filter as far as these inexpensive disposable type masks are concerned. The manufacturing seems cheap. The main box has printed on it that the product is manufactured by Honeywell, Paris, France, whilst the outside of the box has a sticker which states the product is made in Tunisia.Honeywell products are normally good quality like 3M and DuPont etc. But these seem very poor. Apart from the filter material itself, which seems inadequate when I compare it to a dozen different P3 filters, the main gripe with this mask is the seal. If the mask fits your face, which it does on me, it is still impossible to get a proper seal due to the fact that the seal material is too rigid and cannot flex sufficiently to the contours of your face. This leaves gaps which means particles can get in as you breath in. Anyone who is buying P3 is concerned with tiny particles, invisible to the human eye. The gaps might be tiny, but they are not as small as the particles you are trying to keep out. Furthermore, even if the seal was more malleable or had some element of compression in it there is still a fundamental flaw in the design. The seal is ridged (as well as rigid). The ridges push against the skin - which is great. The flip side of this is that there are also 'valleys' which don't touch the skin. These valleys, in places, form a direct pathway from outside the mask to inside. Other masks have a seal which squashes as it is pushed against the skin. This cannot happen at every point with these masks.I believe the seal on this mask might be appropriate on a FFP1 mask but I would definitely not use these masks in fine particulate environments or in trying to protect yourself from the 'current situation' in enclosed spaces.

Data shows poor fit impedes effectivness
These are FFP3 Masks, as far as the filter. The problem is the 'one size fits all' moulded cup design. An airtight fit is important and sadly these masks rarely fit properly. When tested in UK NHS hospitals using Fit Tests, this mask had the poorest fit test pass rate. Of the 881 Fit Tests conducted, only 295 passed without leaking due to ill-fitting. Google "Honeywell NHS fit test journal" and see the first link for results.
