DeFeet - Woolie Boolie 4" - D-Logo - Quarter Sock - Cycling, Running, Everyday Sock

These are the most comfortable socks I've ever owned. They have just enough cushion on the sole and heel, and they are not too hot even in summer. I think they are more comfortable than Smartwool. I've only had them for a couple of weeks, but they are well made and should last a long time.

I love wool socks. Wear them year around. Fresher in the summer. Warmer in the winter. These are no exception. DeFeet makes great socks. I have several pair of Woolie Boolie Warrior socks that I have been wearing for a long time. Wear great and fit awesome. These are a little lighter and not as tall as the warrior. Still great fit and wear. I use them in my bike shoes, everyday shoes, and running shoes. Not tall enough for my casual boots but I have the Warriors for that. Use to wear smartwool socks and these are every bit as good. If they wear well without thin spots they will be perfect.

I know you're probably jealous, but with normal cotton socks my feet sweat a LOT. I thought to myself, "How would buying high quality warm WOOL socks keep them from sweating more than with thin cotton socks?" I bought these anyways, and I don't regret it at all. They keep my feet perfectly warm whether sitting watching TV, on my computer, cycling in the cold, or while I'm on my feet all day at work. Regardless of the situation, when they come off for the night, my feet are not sweaty and perfectly warm. I highly recommend these to anyone for any situation, not just for cycling or exercise.

So, this is the first pair of "premium socks" that I've ever allowed myself the pleasure of owning. Otherwise, my socks come in packs of 10 or so pairs, are plain white cotton, and perform their job acceptably. But as winter came and I needed a warmer pair of socks to wear while cycling, I decided to try these. For fitting inside of my snug cycling shoes, these are a little thick. A risk I knew I was taking when I ordered them. However, I do still use them for that purpose, and they are indeed warmer than their wimpy white cotton cousins. What really impressed me about these socks though, is the fit and finish. They feel amazing. No area is too tight, or too loose. They feel seamless at the toes. I honestly didn't know that socks could feel like this. I may be ruined now...

Usually I only purchase Darn Tough socks, but I tried these after a recommendation by Andrew Skurka. Very warm but not bulky, absorb sweat well and don't seem to trap it as much as other thick socks. I use these for long distance hiking (Iceland, Norway, TMB) and at work in my outdoor job in the midwest winter. Holding up well despite abuse. I've purchased 4 pairs I like them so much.

these are very warm, not itchy, durable, wash well, and fit perfectly - sz 7 women = small. highly recommend for cycling or any winter activity, and they're attractive.

Nice socks, but a bit on the small side.
