Contour Products Kabooti Coccyx Foam Seat Cushion, Navy, Large

I got the xl Kabooti although I wasn't sure if needed. To give you an idea, I wear large, size 16, in misses' pants. It is a little wider than my hips, but it gives ample room so I am not slipping off to the side of it! It fits nicely on a flat chair, car seat, and sofa. It, also works well for bleachers! I, also, like that is flatter than other brands I have tried. My feet are planted on the floor. I plan to get another one for the car eventually. The bigger size was more costly than the other one Kabooti offers. but I am very happy I got it! I, also, like the handle and removable cover! I have not had hardly any hip/ leg pain since purchasing!

I tried 3 different brands of cushions to relieve pressure on my coccyx in order for it to heal, including a $100 one, and none worked. I've spent over $300 just trying various brands. But the Kabooti worked like a charm.I am a large man, 300 lbs., 5'11". If you are similar in stature, and have a bruised coccyx, this will help you (along with anti-inflammatory medications and ice).Things I like most:- Cover hides the fact that it's a donut.- Shape is well engineered.- Not so thick that it misaligned the lumbar support of my office chair- Doesn't flatten under my weight- Good engineeringThings I didn't like:- I am very sensitive to mildew, it had the smell of mildew when I took it out of the bag for the first time. No visible signs though, only smell.Note: I used my ozone machine on it to kill the mildew. Lysol spray might work for you too.If you have allergies, like me, get an ozone machine from Amazon. I love mine! For car, house, everything. Just be careful, ozone is a sticky molecule and dangerous to breath, so air out the room for at least an hour before allowing living things back in it. Typically you generate ozone for just a few minutes, then let it sit in the air for a few hours. Ozone kills everything living. Microbes, germs, bugs, pets, everything.

Very soft yet supportive! My father bought the slightly smaller size for me for my car as I recovered from surgery "down there." I liked the cushion so much that I bought this slightly bigger version to always sit on here at my computer! I LOVE IT!

It work very well in minimizing my pain. However, I am 300lbs and this thing over long sitting periods changes one pain for another; primarily it’s to hard. After sitting on this for a few hours the edges start to hurt my thighs and rear end. This feels like just old school hard foam. My fat 300 lbs does not make it compress (material is to hard) so you can imagine how hard it will feel on a lighter person sitting on it for a long period. The extra wide is fine, but for a typical car with bucket seats it’s to wide. True it 20” wide, but the front to back dimension is the same as regular. The cushion, therefore, cutting into your thighs. Sit on it long it gets hot. It has basically min give thereby not allowing you to sink into it and be provided with added cushioning comfort. Unfortunately, I think ones made with memory foam and gel will provide longer periods of comfort (but I have not tried them yet), but they are only in 17” widths. Purchased for the husband and he loves it

This foam cusion was nice and thick and comfortable to sit on. I took away one star because it did not relieve any of my back pain so I returned it. I don't want to say it doesn't help, it just didn't work for me.

Very uncomfortable

I purchased this cushion after being treated for prostate cancer. My colon and anus were damaged from radiation. I used this cushion in my car and was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable it made me. Usually my rides are limited to 10 - 15 minutes because the pain becomes unbearable. This seat cushion changed the way I sat and was extremely supportive of my entire pelvis. It was so comfortable that the first time I used it I was in my car for over an hour because my comfort level was outstanding. I didn't feel that awful pressure on my butt that always kept my time in the car at a minimum. I whole heartedly recommend this item for whatever is bothering you down below. I love it. I can now sit comfortably for as long as I wish. I can't believe how I feel when I'm using it.
