Can i use the mug to drink hot drinks without the danger of damaging the wood parts?

Unfortunately not. I poured water for tea into mine in the wood suddenly split down the side, despite no instructions against use of hot liquids.

Is the stainless steel cup removable and dish washer safe?

Dear Robert, The stainless cup insert is not removable and considering this is a handmade wooden product, it is not dishwasher safe.
