Much needed filter

Don't waste your money.
These filters are junk. I've had two that broke in the same way but not before leaking fuel and allowing air into the line (a BIG problem for a diesel heater). The inlet outlet nipples are very weak and will break if ANY vibration or tension is present in the lines. Did I mention that the second one had a defective gasket that allowed air into the line, making my diesel heater stop functioning on a 15 deg night? After disassembling and replacing with the first filters gasket and super glueing the threads I fixed the leak. A week later the nipple broke on this one too. JUNK JUNK JUNK. Seriously, do not buy these junk filters. Overpriced junk.

A disaster waiting to happen
The original filter for my diesel heater broke in a similar manner-- I chocked it up to sun exposure over the summer. Replaced it with this one (which looks identical) and built a galvanized steel enclosure around it to protect it from the elements. This trailer has not moved since installing this replacement. 6 months later, and the exact same failure has occurred, dumping 5 gallons of diesel directly into my yard. Avoid at all costs!
