Perfect!
Just what I was looking for. looks good, fits tight. No loose or broken stitches, took less than a minute to get on the stock. Room for stock mags or boxes of .22's. I did add split rings on the zipper pull and the cover pull as sometimes my old fingers want to clumsy up on me. I thought the catch on the cover was a bit small, then I trigged on that it was a bungee cord and you were supposed to stretch it back instead of down to get it under the hook. Sometimes I am a little slower than the average bear. Good product, might buy more for other rifles.

Good product, just what I needed
First I want to say that the comments about being difficult to install are nonsense. I slid mine on from the back end and it went on just fine. These will fit 6 (yes I said six) rotary mags just fine and that's what I have in it. This gives me a total of 70 shots at hand if I have to grab it quick including the mag in the receiver. I also have a belt pouch with 3 BX-25s and about 300 loose rounds in it. I keep 2 rotarys filled with Punch the other 2 with 60 grain SS and the others with Golden HPs.I didn't care for the loop fastener they had on it so I took that off and went with velcro. Also I keep the zipper open and sewed it closed about an inch and a half up on the back side. The flap holds everything in place nicely and I don't have to fumble with the zipper in a stressful situation.I also blacked out the RUGER 10/22 on the side as it was a bit cheezy, but left the phoenix logo just because.I am a firm believer in the 10/22 as a viable SHTF weapon and the well-placed 22 round as very adequate for stopping the unwanted activity of a hostile target especially with the choices of ammo that are available now. This pouch enhances the usefulness of my 10/22 and was a great addition. I recommend it.

Great fit.
Have 5 or 6 now. Every bit of recoil retention helps on any firearm to regain target plus I put small Allen wrenches and spare battery inside. Adds 2" LOP perfect for me 6' plus.

Decent buttstock pouch for the 10/22.
The Ruger 10/22 buttstock pouch is smaller than expected, but I do not fault the product for this as it is specifically made to fit the 10/22 which it does. The quality seems decent. I only received the item a few weeks ago so time will tell about its durability and how it hold up to use. I see a lot of people complain about the small slit/hole on the underside of the pouch. This is not a defect, it is purposefully made this way to fit a sling swivel stud through it so you can have the pouch not interfere with your sling swivel studs. For how small the pouch appears it does offer adequate room for storage. I personally do not like the hook and loop closing method the outside flap uses and I should of researched that prior to purchasing. That’s my fault. I assume it is done this way instead of using Velcro to keep it quiet if used while hunting as well as to eliminate Velcro wearing out over time. It’s probably for the better, but I personally do not like this method to close the outside flap. One thing I do not like is how the pouch slides onto the gun from the front. This is the only way to install this pouch. If you have optics, bipod, or anything else attached to your rifle you will have to remove everything to get the pouch on the gun. I also do not like this design as my other pouches I use for other rifles have a Velcro strap that goes around the buttplate of the stock and secures the pouch further back on the stock. The Ruger pouch does not do this. Again, I should of researched this beforehand. The reason I like having the strap around the buttplate is to keep the pouch further back on the stock making it useable for any and all rifles. The 10/22 does not do this and is so small it it really only usable on a 10/22. It will work on other small rifles, it the pouch will sit very close to the trigger guard which is not ideal and just not in the correct position if used on anything besides a 10/22. With all that said. If you are buying this specifically for a 10/22 then it’s a good option. It fits well and does what it is supposed to. If you are buying this for a different rifle you will be disappointed unless it is a small rifle like the 10/22. I did a test fir on a Daisy Red Ryder and it does fit. It’s a bit loose on the Red Ryder which was expected, but if you happen to be looking for a pouch for a small BB gun this could be a option. I paid $7.50 when I ordered my Ruger pouch and at that price I can’t complain. It is worth it at that price point. If this pouch was in the $15 range I would pass on it personally. If you are looking for a pouch for your 10/22 specifically and the price is right at the time you order it then I would say it’s a great option.

Well built
It seems well built, waterproof and durable. The zipper is easy to open the pouch.I decided to cut off the flap over the pouch for two reasons. The "latch" closure on the flap over the pouch was difficult for me to open ( it's an old man problem). Second it represented added "bulk" to the pouch with two or three spare magazines inside. It's a slimmer profile, and it does not unravel or shred after cutting off the top piece. It is well made.Lastly is does seem to "creep" down the stock over time. Not a biggie... I might try a couple dots or lines of silicone inside the sleeve of the pouch sleeve and let dry if it make sighting and firing an issue.Over all 5 Stars from a 'picky" consumer. It will last longer than I will !

These are great
I have one on my 10/22 and one on my Winchester 22, they’re fantastic for ammo and magazines.
