Q: How easy is it to chop tomatoes and peppers with this?

It is fairly easy. You just have to make sure the tomatoes are cut into smaller pieces. Peppers are a breeze.

Q: I'm mainly looking for something to chop fast and efficiently dry herbs like, rosemary, basil, cilantro, parsley.Will this work well for these herbs?

It does work, I've chopped basil, cilantro and parsley quickly...works like a charm. I love this product! Highly recommended!

Q: What does the little white thing that attaches to the top of the blades do? Does it have to be attached whenever you are using it?

It's called a sweeper arm, and is an optional part, which when used, will help to spread the ingredients more evenly inside the plastic container.I hope it helps!

Q: can some one tell the ease of use of the 3 cup 2 blade with RING pull versus the 4 cup 3 blade with pull knob?

Both of them are equally easy to use. The difference is in the size and the addition of a mixer attachment in the large version.
