Looks Professional but the Springs Broke on Both Covers on First Use
Bought (2); one for each end of my truck. The install was simple, I liked the look and the LED light worked which was a nice feature. I liked how the dust proof cover springs back to the closed position and rubber gasket looked to be sufficient but you needed to baby it because it tended to get caught up in the hingeAfter the install, I decided to test my jumper cables, so I started on the one installed at the front of my truck. The first time I installed my quick connect jumper cables, it was noticeably tight to get fully connected and the spring broke. Now that the spring is broke, the quick connect cable plugs in a lot easier. I tried a test on the other one installed at the rear of my truck and the same thing happened.I was really disappointed that the main feature that attracted me to the purchase was the feature that failed.I believe if the manufacturer would had just made the inside dimensions slightly larger it may have made a difference or at least figure a better way to isolate the spring from interfering during the connection process. Perhaps the person who installed the spring on both covers installed it wrong so it could just be a quality control issue that could be corrected with better quality control measures.

Quality
Make sure terminals are connected and crimped properly

Not bad but overpriced
The hinge for the cover broke within a couple weeks, pretty easy to fix but for what you pay you’d expect a little better quality

Does not seal well, too expensive
First be advised this ships from Australia which took about 2 1/2 weeks to reach the US. This is only a plastic mount for your existing plug and fits the 175 amp grey plugs. The price is a bit much for what you receive but thats probably covering the shipping from another country. I mounted my existing plug and affixed it to the front bumper without a problem. I did have to enlarge the rubber wire seal holes at the back to fit my 2 gauge wire. Be warned that this cover is not even close to being water resistant. There is some type of rubber seal in the spring loaded flip cap but it in no way seals out water as it barely extends past the cap. When the cap closes the seal lightly touches the body of the mount and in some areas does not even touch. The mount comes with a couple bolts which is nice but the bolts are not stainless steal. They look like chrome plated bolts so expect rust. Finally the bolt that goes through the mount to secure the plug in the body has no rubber seals on it so water will get in. In conclusion this box cover was too expensive for what you get. It’s probably cheaper buying local in Australia. If you mount it on a bumper make sure you angle it slightly down so any water that makes its way in drains out. I drilled a small drain hole in the bottom just incase water gets in.
