I have had this mattress for over a year. It’s firm and I had to order a mattress cover to soften it. Great product and decent price. I would definitely buy again.

I went online mattress shopping while my back was in pain. I couldn't get any relief on the previous mattress so I would sleep on the floor.The previous mattress would swallow me up and it was very difficult to move with a bad back. I imagined that I needed a floatation device in order to move my body near the waist/lower back. My legs would have to help raise my mid section up and over all the waves. First I blamed it on the fact that the previous mattress didn't have springs. So I narrowed in to search for that type of replacement.While trying to decide on the endless mattress options and trying to get as comfortable as possible with lower back pain I asked my husband if he would turn the old non turnable memory foam mattress upside down to avoid melting in the deep soft layers on the correct side. Guess what? Problem solved. The bottom of the memory foam mattress was hard like the floor but with a lil bit of softness.Within days I had found and ordered this mattress. I loved sleeping on the back side of the old mattress so much I attempted to cancel this one but it was too late.This new mattress arrived in a huge heavy box. With having a bad back the mattress in the box was an eye sore. It remained on the floor near the door it entered through waiting for a trip to the UPS store for a return.After a few days of looking at the box that I dreaded to get into the car and carry even with help to the return center I decided to give it a chance. Knowing once it was opened it would be harder and probably impossible to return? I also imagined all the bacteria that could be in that old mattress as It was about over the recommended time of replacement.I really am so glad we didn't cancel or return this perfect mattress.I would never want to order a mattress with all those layers of softness again.My husband who doesn't have back pain loved it the first day as well. It didn't take any time to get used to it when I started on the floor. It was just a tad softer than the back side of the previous memory foam mattress.If you have a non turnable memory foam mattress and you want to test what a firmer mattress will feel like before you buy, I suggest you do the same thing we did. Flipped it should be slightly softer than the floor and this mattress has a 1" layer of softness so this will be slightly softer than the backside of a non turnable mattress.

Ok, I relied on reviews saying this was a very firm mattress and it absolutely IS. It’s actually a bit too firm for me so I bought a 2” memory foam topper and now it’s perfect! I knew I wanted firm, but when I went to mattress stores, the only truly firm mattresses were $4,000+. It’s a total scam. The materials to make them cost a fraction of that. I figured if this mattress was too firm I’d just get a topper. Cause you can make a firm mattress softer but ya can’t make a soft mattress firmer. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

I purchased the full size first and was pleasantly surprised and I'm happy with that purchase. Then when they finally got the king size in stock, i decided to order that one.However once the item arrived and I let it expand for a couple days, i realized that the protective layer was not on correctly, so I had to maneuver the mattress to unzip that layer, take it off and put it on correctly. Then I realized, after comparing the king to the full that the king did not expand to fully - it wasn't as firm or as tall as the full size mattress was.However, I am pleased enough to keep the item. But I am curious in the differences between the mattresses.

Honestly, the best value for the money. My boyfriend and I have a king sized frame with two twin mattresses, since we have different sleep needs (and don't have Sleep Number kinda money just yet). This is the third time we've bought this mattress, and this time it was my turn to swap one out. It had been probably about 4 years since I got my medium firm (no longer available), and my back was starting to hurt so I knew it was time for an upgrade. I ordered the firm mattress on Sunday, and it shipped immediately. It arrived by Tuesday and by Wednesday night I was sleeping like a baby. Don't ever discontinue this one, it's a keeper! We both love our Milliard Firm!
