My first fuel pump from a different company failed on second use.Terra Pump was my second transfer pump and it worked well pumping fuel into my boats - except auto shut off didn't work. It was out of Amazon 90 day warranty so I submitted warranty claim to Terapump. They sent a new transfer pump with no questions asked. You don't find srvice like that any more. I previously had the kind that that is handheld & doesn't screw onto the gas can, which only lasted for 2 mowing seasons til it died. I should mention that it was a different brand. It was better than holding a 5 gallon gas can up in the air & trying to balance it without spilling fuel all over my zero turn, but if I was young & strong with no back problems I wouldn't have bothered with it. This unit solves everything! It stays screwed onto the can that I'm using, so I don't have the old problem of residual fuel inside of the suction rod that would leak out all over my hands when I pulled it out of the tank after filling, I don't have to find a spot to sit it after use when it's wet & I don't want grass & dirt to stick to it or sit it somewhere that I don't want fuel on and the best part is that this clips onto the edge of the fill spout of the tank you're filling whether that's a mower, car, motorcycle, snow blower, pressure washer, etc and it has an automatic shut off mechanism so I don't have to stand there & babysit it. Just put the hose in & clip it to the fill valve, press the "on" button & do something else in the vicinity of it. Instructions say not to leave it unattended, but I never go far. It has never failed to shut off when it reaches full. You don't even have any fuel leakage from a little bit left in the hose when it shuts off because the end of the hose then clips into an allotted place on the side of the main unit that's attached to your gas can. Filling a gas tank while trying to balance & not spill or over fill is always kind of a pain especially when you have big 5 gallon cans, but this unit is so quick & easy to use that I would definitely use it even if I was physically able to do it the manual way.

This pump stopped working a few minutes after I started using it for the first time. I emailed their product support on Saturday to ask for suggestions. They replied early Monday morning and said the end cap on the draw pump had likely fallen off and is in the bottom of the gas can. They were correct. Once I retrieved the cap and reinstalled it - the pump works fine. The reason I did not give it five starts - is the design is not great - the cap falls off easily and this issue is not included in the troubleshooting section of the instructions. If it stops working - check for the missing cap. There are replacements on Amazon if you cant find the original.

It is fantastic. I have accidentally pushed the button when screwing onto a full gas can and have even dropped the nozzle after filling tank on tractor, which then spilled on ground. I wasn't sure how well it would work, or if it was something that I would use, but now that I've used it on 3 different types of gas cans, I have to say.: IT IS GREAT!! The ease of use where I no longer have to lift full gas cans to fill my lawn tractor. It also gets nearly every drop from the can when it's out. I strongly recommend, especially if you're older or just have difficulty with heavy full liquid containers.

I just got this. I've wanted it for a while but didn't want to spend so much for a pump. It feels like it's well made for a plastic unit. It doesn't come with batteries, which is disappointing for something in this price point. But I'm sick of spilling gas all over the place so I am going to give this thing a try.The best transactions are the ones where both parties feel they got a good deal. I'm not feeling it. Give me a few months and I'll let you know how it goes.*Update* how sad is it when you know you're going to be disappointed and then you are disappointed. So this thing works ok except it doesn't shut off when the receiving tank is full so it still spills all over. Their warranty requires that I pay return shipping for the defective unit they sold me. I haven't decided if I will return it since it does pump, which is what I want and Ive spent enough on garbage like this. However, I was planning on purchasing at least 3 more of these. Glad I found out it's crap before I did.*Update again* alrighty then. So after I complained about the pump not working correctly they just sent me a new one. I'm still annoyed that the first one didn't work but that's just how things are anymore. Everything is crap. At least they stood behind their pump and I respect that. I'd rather the pump worked correctly the first time but they didn't leave me hanging with an expensive pump that didn't work.

The pump works great. It pumps out more fuel than you think it could. Attaches quickly and even shuts off automatically when the tank is full. Just make sure to tighten the adapter down good and tight. I had to use a wrench to secure from leaking

Works exactly as it should and comes more in handy than I thought it would. Just make sure you keep batteries around.
