Q: Does the latch bend /flex when you lift latch?

The plastic does not flex as well as the original. Its harder plastic. We have found when you bend the latches back too far to open they crack and break off. We have to be careful when opening them to not bend or flex them back each time. One of them at first use broke right off. We have 6 highly used ice chests that have been handed down to us by prior band parents to help hydrate band kids for their performances during marching season. We have been in charge of maintaining them for the last 3 years and we have to buy new ones each season for 6 chests.

Q: I have a 120qt igloo cooler that the latch broke. it is white and "bend" to lock and unlock. is the same type latch available?

This is the replacement part for the latch. Though to be honest, I am disappointed with the quality of this replacement part. And it doesn't seem to snap closed as tightly as the original. Igloo parts are the same for all their coolers, regardless of size.
